The stand of shower stand in bathroom was separated from the wall while bathing - need fixing it

This is our fifth times to stay in this hotel.We enjoyed very much .The reasons are:- . Feel like at home ,always care for what you want and what need to help . The homemade breakfast with fresh ingredients with good coffee. . Yummy of homemade pizza and different dishes in western & Thail.. . Spacious & comfortable room with different detail in design- different room different design in color and furniture .

The staff were amazing. We were looked after with care. We very much enjoyed chatting with the owners who were able to explain some of the home decor- they were bits and bibs brought back from their travels mainly to Europe. The garden is beautiful, taking breakfast surrounded by orchids with rice fields beyond is very memorable. The property is very well placed to see the hot springs and for a day in Chiang Rai

Gumbie House is located a pleasant short out side Fang. Our room was very spacious as was our bathroom. Everything was very clean and neat. Gumbie house has a lovely garden containing many beautiful orchids including some of unusual colours, a small pond and a cafe overlooking rice fields. The owners and staff were very friendly I would recommend it to other travelers.

We found our bed too soft. Thai mattresses are normally rock hard and I guess the owners have tried to soften their mattress for foreigners by adding a soft top layer but we found it too soft. We also found the bed cover to be too small. It was barely wide enough to cover the top of the bed with no one in the bed. Put two people in and then there is a big gap on either side. When we were there the weather was cold so we noticed the gap. Minor issues which did not prevent us from enjoying our stay at Gumbie.

We stayed in the King Room with Mountain View. The room was exceptional, large, very clean & tastefully decorated, with a huge balcony looking out over the paddy fields. Our hosts arranged packed breakfasts for us every day as we were birders and therefore leaving at 5:15am. The food was always ready on time for us to leave and was enough for breakfast and lunch! We also ate at Gumbie House every night and the food was always excellent.

Sometimes the water went off after one of us had taken a shower in the evening, but it normally came back on after an hour so it wasn’t really a problem.

.It is near the hot spring and national park. Such tranquility environment with beautiful garden, over looking a wide range of rice field, Seems like you are in the paridise where you are indulge in relaxation , enjoy the nature beauty. .The owner (a couple) can speak English,are kind enough to make you feel comfortable and we are treated like their family. .All rooms are spacious with different characters, comfortable and spotless clean. .we enjoyed so much their homemade breakfast,lunch and dinner. We had a wonderful 3-nights staying in Gumbie House .We enjoyed so much.

Very comfortable room with large bed. Gardens very relaxing. Food very tasty with several homemade Northern Thai speciality dishes. Home brew beer also a delight. Owner and staff very helpful. Great stay, highly recommend.

We stayed at Gumbie house only for 1 night but hands down, it was the best accommodation on our 6 day Chiang Mai - Mae Salong - Chiang Rai loop. A hidden gem near Fang, a perfect base if you're heading to explore Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park or just wanting to relax and unwind for a few days in a quiet and beautiful place. You'd need a car to comfortably explore the surroundings, so if you're heading that way, do not miss it! The owners Roi and Soi (apologies if I spelled it wrong) are very lovely and welcoming people, and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and beautiful Thai breakfast with the view! We only regret we could not stay longer! Thank you for everything and we are hoping to be back one day!
