*5/5 Stars* "We had an amazing stay at River View Retreat Hotel! The rooms were comfortable and clean, with stunning views of the river that took our breath away. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. But the highlight of our stay was definitely the dinner on the river side - it was truly unforgettable! The food was delicious, and the setting was just magical. Watching the sunset over the river while enjoying a wonderful meal was the perfect way to spend an evening. Overall, we would highly recommend River View Retreat Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway. We can't wait to come back and experience it all again!

We are family of four from UK, children 12&8. We felt extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for the hard working staff - they are excellent. Our duplex room was spacious, clean, great beds, more than enough room for the whole family. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to Jim Corbett, and on the bank of the Kosi River. The grounds are full of Mango trees and all well maintained. The swimming pool area is great. I was impressed with the pool depth catering for toddlers, pre teen children and adults. The position of the pool allows shade to cover in mid afternoon so kids god be out of the sun and play in it. The restaurant is excellent. So much choice of food. Extremely tasty options. You can walk down a few steps to the Kosi river which was nice in the evenings. High tea at 1730 by the pool/pool bar area was brilliant. Lovely chai and snacks. The hotel was not overcrowded, nor was it dead - just right. It was a fantastic place for us to spend a couple of nights.

As far as our room was concerned, we felt the bathroom was little bit tired, paint rubbing off the floor. Signs of rust in the shower area. The air conditioning unit downstairs wasn’t secured into position. The air conditioning was a little loud in the room. Lost count how many power cuts we had, in the end it was quite funny as we tried to guess how long until the power came back on. Unusually between 3 and 15 seconds. We had to unplug the TV because every time the power return the TV went on quite loud. WiFi was ok. We had a little trouble to begin with but staff helped us log onto a different user network.

The property has a beautiful kosi river view & overall well maintained property with all the staff is polite & always ready to help you out. The evening main course was having a very good number of options in veg, non veg & dezzerts. Overall a 5 star experience at the location. Also note as we have finished our safari late we checked out almost 1hour & missed the morning breakfast at the time of check out they provided ample sandwitches, fruits,fruity, mineral water bottles according to number of persons which shows good sign of hospitality. they also arrange safari from the property itself which is a good advantage.

1. The food. The Restaurant manager, Laxman and his team attended to us all the time. 2. The room. It is so spacious and clean. 3. The location. Easy to reach. 4. The property. The walking path, the garden, the riverside, the pool, everything was beautiful and well maintained. Better than the pictures. 5. Entertainment. Tambola, carom board, TT table. We had a great time.

Location of the property is awesome and the river side is serene. Garden is well laid and the resort has dormitory for traveler's supporting staff such as personal driver at a reasonable cost. Staff is well trained, polite, very courteous and the room service is good. Rooms are nicely located. The room interiors & bathrooms require remodeling to match the resort's grace. The stays are very enjoyable. I booked for two nights initially but extended my stay for one more night.

Resort is really at a prime location, at riverside with access to river bed, and a very well maintained property. Evening high tea had great snacks, which we enjoyed sitting on riverside deck. Ample space and activities including swimming pool for kids and adults. Dinner n breakfast buffet were very good. Overall it was a relaxing n enjoyable stay at riverview retreat. Highly recommend for family. Family room we got was very spacious and a duplex, with a large common balcony.

Family room , although spacious, had no views. Should have opted for cottages.

I liked every thing offered by the hotel. The location, the garden, the sitting arrangement next to the river, the private path to the river, the food, the decoration the behavior of the staff....on top of that one can can experience live and recordings of India classical music.......

Everything was great minus the location of the room. I understood looking at the pics that the duplex room would be in a separate cottage but it was actually in the building hosting the reception.

Overall a nica stay. Location was good. Very nice breakfast buffet and a lavish high tea Staff was humble. The river on the back qas really good.

We booked premium room. When we reached at hotel we were shown a two bedroom cottage. They told you will get one bedroom and the second bedroom might be given to another guess which was totally ridiculous. Note for booking.com - please mention that there premium rooms are not independent rooms, instead they are part of a shared 2bhk apartment.

Amazing location. Conveniently located close to Safari locations. Clean. Lot of open spaces for kids to play. Right next to the Kosi river. Staff is very courteous. Breakfast is delicious.

Kosi restaurant takes a minimum of 20 minutes to serve a dish. No lifts in the building hence slightly inconvenient for families with infant.
