You might be misled by the appearance of the house from the street , you might turn around and leave . DON'T !! The restaurant has the best steaks I've eaten . The rooms are comfortable with good mattresses and TV. And the pleasure of meeting the owner Peter. A small oasis was created at 44 on Ennis. Highly recommended and safe.

Spotless. Comfortable. Had extra blankets also electric blankets. Clean towels. Backup power during load shedding and Wi-Fi. Very good. Will stay there again.

Housekeeping prepped the room beautifully but forgot the mugs in the room. Luckily we could make a plan. They were fully booked and by the time we wanted to shower the water was freezing cold and the window in the shower doesn't close all the way. Which resulted in a very cold brisk shower. Ha ha ha. But it was great fun and we will stay there again anytime.

Really warm welcome, large rooms & electric blankets on the beds! Also good to have restaurant on site with tasty food.

Very cold: would have benefited from heating in the rooms & rugs on the floor - particularly next to the bed. Also lacking a hair dryer!

Good location. Clean and comfortable room

No signal on tv, asked for assistance but never received it. Asked for water at dinner, never received it. Room had only one coffee sachet but it was booked for two. Are people supposed to share the one sachet of coffee?

The staff and the owner gave us a great service ever. I was on a business trip and had to upgrade for my family to join me. The owner upgraded without any charge.... this was a surprise. The rooms were very spacious, clean, very peaceful and not far from the Mall.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the electric blankets were a lovely bonus. The food was exceptional, and Chef Tim's passion for his cuisine truly shines through. If you're passing through Ermelo or staying overnight, be sure to stop by 44 on Ennis Restaurant - you won't be disappointed!

Our room was clean and the linen too. The staff were to friendly and helpful.

They must have heaters in their room especially in winter because it's very cold at Ermelo.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had electric blankets on the beds. Breakfast was a treat, will recommend strongly! The Restaurant inside and outside areas has very nice atmosphere. Owner is very involved in the business!

We chose Ermelo as a convenient stop from Johannesburg to near Durban. First impressions of the area were not great but the property itself was fine and felt secure. The real gem was, as other reviews have said, the restaurant. I had one of the most outstanding steaks of my life, my mouth is watering just thinking of it! Great use of the herb garden. Also the beds were super comfortable.

Some things looked a bit worn in the room, scuffed paint but not too bad.

Friendly staff. Upgrade our room whitout us asking. Really plesant.
