The stay at Le Meridien Xiamen exceeded my expectations! The hotel was beautiful - there was construction going on but well communicated and free upgrade offered (and did not experience any nuisance). The front desk staff upon arrival was exceptionally friendly and helped me when my card didn't work to pay for the taxi as if it was the most normal thing in the world. I call that hospitality. Even though there were not many people speaking English (well), everyone was friendly, hospitable and not shy to communicate. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. So much choice and all good quality! Hotel seems to be in a safe area and I felt comfortable walking around by myself.

Exceptional hotel, we stayed in during a long layover and got the full rest we hoped we'd get to help fight jet lag. Hotel is 10 min taxi (4€ in yuen) from the airport and in an oasis of peace. Easy check in, spacious room, amazing bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic, probably the best I've had in years of travel! Keep in mind all staff isn't as fluent in english as you'd expect in a hotel with such standards. But overall our go-to place for our next lay-over in XMN.

Lack of wine knowledge at the restaurant. We ordered a moscato white, took forever to locate and staff was clueless about how to serve it. Wine was amazing though in the end!

Is a comfortable hotel in a quiet area, with natural surroundings and nice staff. Jasmine was very helpfull. She arranged to have a tour to the Tulou, private driver, we were with 3 people. Very nice driver and guidance (Mandarin speaking). The hotel is located about 20 minutes to the Zhongshan Lu. It is nearby the airport about 15 minutes. The breakfast is fabulous, a wide range of choice, fishbal soup and other good quality food!

the dinner in Chinese restaurant is wonderful. We like the duck and beef very much. The swimming pool personnel is very good. They helped us to get very economic swimming pants, google, hats and save us a lot of money. The breakfast is also wonderful which equipped many kinds of instant made noodle shops so you can enjoy many kinds of local food.

The BEST pillows! It was a great place to hike from or take a taxi down town and see the sights. The food was excellent and staff friendly.

I think they should just open a credit card to make it easily for the guest. Bar wanted money, 2nd floor restaurant wanted money. should be simple.

The location is suitable for travelers who want to stay away from the busy city. It's not located in easy distance for transportation and restaurants.

Ridiculous policy to ask for swim cap for money in order to swim (that’s why no one is swimming). Please either cancel this policy or just provide it free of charge as a 5-star hotel doesn’t need to nickel and dime.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and I loved being in the mountains. The pool was amazing (and hardly anyone in it!) and the back area was stunning - even better than the pictures.

I was under the impression (from the website) I would have a hot tub and there wasn't.

This is simply next level. Great location in Xiamen (surrounded by Nature and Forests), Oustanding service from the personell (with possibility to decent english speaking employees). Fantastic restaurant with great variety and super service. The rooms are fantastic!

Actually nothing

Everything is good, from the location, the room which is very nice and big, excellent customer service from all the staff, fantastic breakfast, very nice gym and pool, and the bar for a coffee or a drink. All fantastic.I am looking forward to come back.

There are some insects on the trees that make a loud noise,but this is nature.
