It is located up ten flights of stairs. I am young and fit so I didn’t mind this at all. It was worth it for the view. I enjoyed watching sunsets at the pool. The staff was very friendly and they helped with everything we needed. The internet was fast enough that I was able to get all my work done! It was very clean and peaceful place to spend a vacation. The outdoor cat kept us company all week; which I really enjoyed.

The kitchen was mostly well-equipped however it was missing a pot. The room required cleaning nearly every day due to the nature taking over the outdoor kitchen (ants mostly). The staff was very attentive to the cleaning, it was just a bit annoying because I could have spent my whole vacation at the place, if it weren’t for having to leave for the cleaners. But, I understand why it needed to be done so often with the relentless kitchen ants. Overall; this place is beautiful and ants are a part of nature which you won’t be able to avoid by staying anywhere else in Mazunte.

Gorgeous views, we loved the view from the pool! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and responsive to questions. The cabins were beautiful. They also provided a pack-n-play style crib for my toddler to sleep in. Easy check-in, they were very flexible when our plans changed. Also super simple having parking available on site. Great location up on the hill, close to the trail for Punta Cometa and well positioned for access to both beaches and town.

There were A LOT of stairs to get from the parking lot to the cabin. This wasn't a problem for our group, but it was many more than I expected. These also contributed to the amazing view though of course. We also had a lot of ants in our room - again did not bother us too much, but definitely don't leave any food in there!

Secluded and isolated spot in the trees w clear ocean views and only the sound of the pounding surf. The infinity pool was an unexpected spot to watch the sunset and cool off after a day in the sun. Large private terrace for lounging in the hammock and enjoying the scenery. Magdalena took great care of everything, including making coffee and cooking breakfast. She even unplugged our toilet one morning.

It was not a problem for us at all, but there are many stairs to reach the rooms. This is after a steep walk from the main strip and a shorter downhill walk on a dirt road. Anyone w mobility issues would have trouble getting there.

Beautiful houses with incredible hammocks and views. The pool has the most amazing view of the beach and is so close to pinta cometa which is a must see on the Oaxaca coast!

To get the great views and the privacy, Casa Mermejita is set on the rock face of an overlooking hill so stair climbing is necessary and is well worth it!

Lovely accommodation, very spacious and clean. There was a infinity pool looking out over the beach and the hills which was really beautiful! The staff was so lovely and friendly, would love to go here again!

Location was OK, but you had to climb quite a huge stairs to get to the accommodation. Also at night the road towards the accommodation was very dark.

How clean it was, the view from the room, and how nice the host was!

That it was kinda hidden in the sense that you have privacy and the views from the room and pool.
