The staff here are great Remi our man on the desk was so friendly and helpful - he should be used as an example to train other staff. The Lovely ladies in the restaurant at breakfast were great. Our cleaning lady was helpful . The views from the rooms can be quite spectacular. Good location only a short walk to the lift. (there is only 1, re strange "bonus question") Very good selection at breakfast - 2 coffee machines less waiting .(less than pervious owners)

The whole place is showing its age - nothing major - threads, paint chips , spot of rust , a screw missing here and there, odd aromas here and there. We hope that the new owners will invest and make the place really nice. It is a grand old hotel from the early days and it would be a shame to see it run down.

Location and helpfulness of the friendly staff. Clean bedrooms and bathroom and a decent size. Room service do not attend during your stay and the towels are not changed unless requested. This is an understandable cost saving measure. There is free parking around the back and underneath the hotel. The proximity to some nice little restaurants and bars is good, but would be exhausted if staying for a full week; 3-4 nights is ideal. At €18 per person, the cost of the breakfast seemed a little steep so we never bothered. Instead, we got some fresh panel chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice from the spa each morning for less than €4 each.

A little dated, but more than adequate. To note : It is a 25 minute gondola ride up to the slopes, but this is offset by cheaper accommodation compared to staying in Meribel.

Perfect location right in the centre of Brides, only a few minutes walk to the gondola up to Meribel. There is free public parking just behind the hotel. Staff very friendly and triple room was huge! Also didn’t have to check out until midday on departure day. Decor is a bit tired and 4* is definitely a stretch, but it’s a great value place to stay.

The shower was terrible - positioned way too low on the wall and there is only half a shower screen so water went all over the floor every time!

The breakfast was very varied and plentiful. The room was a good size and had a good shower. It was a nice touch that bottles of water were provided in the fridge everyday. There was a terrace area with umbrellas where you could have breakfast. The staff were helpful in booking taxis for us.

The decor of the hotel is rather tired and dates from the 1970s/1980s. We didn't use the pool but it was very small. The hotel is comfortable but could benefit from redecoration.

Great location near to the gondola to Méribel and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Spacious room with large comfortable bed. Reasonably priced secure parking. Breakfast was extensive and good quality. Staff courteous and helpful. A far more cost effective option than staying in Méribel etc.

I didn't bother us but it has to be said that it is classed a 4 star hotel and a bit of investment is needed as the communal areas are tired and tatty in places. The pool was out of action during our stay. The jacuzzi is full of cushions rather than water. Either repair it or remove it as, according to other reviews, it has been like this for some time.

Very well located and good value for money.

The only negative was the lack of atmosphere in the hotel especially the mausoleum of a restaurant where many seemed to be on a dietetic programme. In the evening there was a total lack of atmosphere and even the bar was closed. The rooms were fine but the hotel looked generally unloved with weeds growing out of the front bar terrace and the rear garden overgrown. Staff could not have been more helpful and despite the issues mentioned this was functional and good value.

Nicholas and Jerome - excellent service guys! Had an incredible massage, but unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Wednesday night fireworks - what a great idea. Nice big room, bathroom and balcony. There is a lovely grand piano in the dining room for the musicians out there. The area is very peaceful, away from the buzz of the main ski resorts but with a lovely village atmosphere. There are some lovely people working the local shops. There is free parking next door, don't waste your money on parking in the hotel.

The hotel policies on it's own staff are a poor show in my opinion, trust your staff and they'll repay you in kind. The hotel keeps everything locked up, i.e. even toilet paper is kept in a locked plastic cage in the toilet. Camera's keep an eye on the staff and they are not allowed to leave the area they are servicing, nor are they able to access the internet. Just seems very in the past. Mini-bar is 2 bottles of water. Games room table all require €1 or €2, c'mon guys, this should be freely available. There is a jacuzzi, but they don't put water in it!! Why have it in the first place!? Pool is way to small to consider any actual swimming.

Very good value for money, great food . The property is probably too big for its location, so struggling to stay full, so it’s slightly run down in places . But such good value for this part of the Alps

Room really roomy. The shower was fantastic, plenty of room for the larger gentleman. Huge bed, lost the wife! Very good breakfast selection, including some gluten free. Staff very friendly and really helpful. They provided a place for us to change into our ski kit. (early arrival - room unavailable) no fuss, nothing was a problem.

Nothing major had changed now they were under new owners. The breakfast was not as good. But this was because we knew what it was like last year. It was as good as most hotels.
