During our trip to Dauphin, we decided to stay at the Sir Edgar House B&B. A beautiful wooden house (which was built in 1898, but even after many years remains in excellent condition), antique furniture, paintings and interior items, cleanliness and order, thanks to the efforts of friendly and hospitable owners, create an atmosphere of aristocratic grandeur, home comfort and peace of mind. The house is located in a quiet, convenient place, in the center of Dauphin, nearby there are many different shops, institutions and attractions. Also, it is not far from the city to drive to the Riding Mountain National Park, which was the main purpose of our trip. The time spent in the room, walks around the city, an excursion to the national park left in our memory pleasant, unforgettable impressions of the trip. Despite our not-so-perfect knowledge of English, we had a very meaningful and pleasant conversation with Mr. Cordell over breakfast. Thank you Mr. Cordell and Mrs. Loralyn Lind for your hospitality, excellent service and delicious food! Highly recommended!

Sir Edgar is a little gem in Dauphin. It's a 100 year old house with all the charm you can imagine. Our host Cordell is super friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The breakfast is remarkable and has great taste. There is a mini fridge, coffee machine, water (cold and hot) a TV and books in the living room. This is our second year staying there and we are already making plans for next year as there are many attractions and activities nearby. The room we choose is the main one with a terrace including a table and chairs, a main bed and a sofa bed in the room living room. A complete bathroom with shower door completes the experience. The main room is facing the Main Street but it's quiet compared to city noises. There is a 7 eleven at 2 blocks and a Mr Mikes restaurant nearby with good options to lunch or dine.
The mattress in the sofa bed could be firmer /quieter.

Beautiful turn of century (early 1900’s) Victorian home. Beautifully renovated and maintained. Spacious private suite on second floor. TV is in dining area sitting room on main floor. Impeccably CLEAN. Hardwood floors. Walk in shower with modern bathroom fixtures. Many antique furnishing throughout house. Host is super hospitable. Very comfortable bed and sitting area in suite. Walk out enclosed balcony overlooks street. Quiet location considering proximity to a Main Street. Delicious breakfast included. Great value.

I drove up and the character of the place is different but in a good way. I liked the room with its ambiance. It can really set the mood for a romantic getaway. It is reallyquiet and without tv in the room you can really sleep in by accident, like I did. Cordell was a very good host with good historical information about sir Edgar House. I never stayed at a bed and breakfast but this is where it is at. The breakfast was awesome. I would say it is worth the money. I would honestly stay here again no question.
I did not have or see anything I did not like when staying here.

Great B&B, everything we wanted. Facilities were great. I've only marked it down slightly because the bed was smaller than we were used to. We knew that when we booked, so no complaints. The host was great and very friendly. I can highly recommend this accommodation.
It was all we expected and we'll priced. So no complaints.

The room and bathroom were very clean, which is very important to me. The host, Cordel, was great. He was available, friendly, and interesting to speak with. The room was, as expected, very comfortable and had a large closet. Other places we used, have trinkets everywhere and the little storage space is used by the host to store blankets and linen so that I don't have room for my clothes.
cannot think of anything

Needed a room for one night while travelling for work. Didn't spend much time in the home, but would have liked to spend more time there! Comfy bed, hot shower and lots of character throughout the home. The breakfast and coffee in the morning was really lovely and much apreciated.

What a wonderful stay we had at this historic home. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us a tour. We had a wonderful bedroom suite and had such a great sleep. There was a small veranda of the bedroom where we sat and had a coffee. Breakfast was included and had homemade waffles and sausages with yogurt and blueberries. Cordell made better coffee than Tim's!!! We would stay here again and will tell everyone what a gem we found .
With a great host a wonderful place to sleep and a fantastic breakfast what is there not to like?
