Boaryd Golf Bed and Breakfast is one of those rare finds that feels more like staying with an old friend than booking a room. Markus, the owner, is the heart and soul of the place – a genuinely kind and helpful host who goes out of his way to make sure everything runs smoothly and feels personal. During my stay, his mother Marianne – who normally shares the hosting – was away for a short time, so Markus handled everything himself. He did an amazing job, and you could tell how much heart both of them must put into running the place. The rooms are clean, cozy, and no-nonsense – just what you need. The shared bathrooms are also in good, functional condition. I particularly liked the smaller bathroom, which had better water pressure. A small note: the ceiling had clearly been prepped for a spotlight setup, but instead, a bright LED lamp had been installed – likely for practical reasons. The open notches where the spots might eventually go are still visible, so maybe it’s a solution on hold or part of a longer-term plan. Either way, the current setup works just fine. It actually gave the space a bit of a “lived-in” character – I even caught myself thinking I’d happily help Markus finish the detailing, just like I’ve done at home. That said, after what seemed like a busy few weeks with many guests passing through, I’d gently suggest that the showers might benefit from a proper deep clean every now and then – just to reset everything to fresh and spotless as not everybody seems to leave it as spotless as you initially find them. Breakfast is simple but well thought-out. You choose between sandwiches with hard-boiled eggs or a combo of sandwich and cereal. I personally went for the sandwich option each morning, which was perfect since I had to leave early – just grab and go. Milk and fruit juice are available in the fridge, and you're also welcome to store your own food or drinks there.

The only small downside for me was the mattress – a bit on the soft side. If you're not a light sleeper or on the heavier side, it might be noticeable. But that’s a very minor point in an otherwise outstanding experience.

It was a nice room for two people, everything we needed and nothing extra. Distance from Eksjö city was great and countryside was beautiful. Staff was nice and helpful.

Bed was cozy and we slept well, but still a bit too soft. There was a bit warm in the room, but luckily air conditioner was right next to our room in hallway so we could have our door open on evening 'cause there wasn't other reservations for the night.

Very clean and new looking space. Nice staff. Possibility to charge electric car (AC).

There should have been thicker curtains. Room got very bright early in the morning.

Best budget accommodation we have stayed at in a long time. Comfortable beds, nice and quiet . Was surprised to get a nice fresh sandwich and coffee for breakfast, an added bonus! If you are into golf there’s a 9 hole pay and play course.

We knew about the shared bathroom when we booked so that wasn’t a problem for us.

This lovely B&B is located in a fairytale-like meadow, amidst moaning cows, dwarf horses and traditional wooden cottages with white window frames. In the morning, a happy woodpecker woke us up. There is a pretty lake close by. We were grated by many beautiful dragonflies through the should walk from the B&B to the shore of the lake.

Sadly we stayed only for one night, a big mistake. It is a beautiful woodland with many less famous, nevertheless fantastically scenic sights, which we have seen in many of the Astrid Lindgren's movies. If we bought a well written travelogue prior to our trip, we might had stayed at least two nights.

Only two single beds, not a queen. But I understand cuz they need it for rentals.

The kindness, the environment, the practical details, the service, the breakfast the good order it was all fantastic. The family running this place is doing a great job putting all their heart into it. I highly can recommend it I also enjoyed their golf facility.

I have no complaints.

The owner and his father are incredibly kind and awesome people. The rooms are nice and everything is clean. The food that the father cooks is great as well.
