This is a great hotel - but (for us, in late July) a too steep price, in my opinion. The location is wonderful, overlooking the lake,one can go swimming and walking right from the hotel. The restaurant is fantastic - our evening meal was excellent, and one can sit outside overlooking the water or inside. Everybody was really friendly. The building is interesting but inside the rooms are the usual average thing for a hotel, so from that perspective the comparatively high price (at least for us) is all about location and ambiente (and maybe lack of many alternatives in Kuhmo?). Apart from that, definitely worth a stay!

Easy to find and in a lovely location at the side of the lake. Staff were friendly and the room was warm, quiet and comfortable. Huge choice of delicious food at breakfast time. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it.

There was a flight of steps up from the car park to the hotel. Not too easy with luggage in the rain and definitely not great for anyone with mobility issues.

Very nice hotel close to Khumo in a not so touristy area. The hotel has everything you need, including great choice of breakfast, dinner, a bar, as well as offering daily tour activities within the area. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, trying to help whenever possible. Cozy feeling and can totally recommend.

The location on a beautiful lake, a very relaxing environment. The hotel served as a good base for staying overnight at different hides for photographing wolves. The room was large enough, clean and comfortable

The dinner was a bit pricey.

The location was lovely and sauna and restaurant were excellent.

The Sauna was only open at the same time as the restaurant which was a shame. There was no fridge in the room.

Excellent food at the restaurant, private beach, swimming possible for a long way into the lake with feet reaching the bottom before you get to the deepest part, amazingly cosy spa-section, with chairs and in- and outside jaccuzis (inside is cold water, outside warm), plus saunas. Really helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Will go again. The nature centre Petola is 300m on foot, and the Winter War museum (Talvisotamuseo) which tackles the local impact of the Winter War (1939-1940) in Kuhmo is next door.

Restaurant was cosy with excellent food and service. Breakfast plenty of choises.

Our room was not very cosy. There could be paintings, flowers etc. to improve the athmosfair.

Nice, silent location. Perfect for one night. A comfortable bed. Good restaurant and friendly staff. Nice view from the restaurant and many options for walking in the park surrounding the hotel.

It would have been very helpful for guest to put written information about the dishes in the breakfast buffet. The pillows were too thick and there was no option to switch to a thinner/lover one - I know, it is a very individual thing, but having a choice would make it more convenient.

Very nice location, I think is amazing during the summer.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke and I didn’t see the staff, it was a bit strange.

Great views, fantastic location and unique architecture.
