Practical, clean and friendly. Excellent restaurant right next door where we enjoyed a tasty meal and good wine. Perouge is charming, but the choice of restaurants etc was very limited, and when we were there most places were shut. La Berangere is in walkable distance of the old town. 20 minutes uphill.

The size of the hotel was good. The pool area was lovely. He area for eating breakfast inside and out was very nice. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful

I thought the room size was very tight. You had to squeeze around the bed. For the price I thought the rooms should be bigger or the price should have included breakfast. I did not like being given a basket 🧺 for breakfast containing one piece of baguette, one pain au chocolat and one croissant. 🥐 I prefer to choose. I do not like pain au chocolat or yesterday’s bread 🥖 for breakfast. More croissants, bread to toast etc would have been better

The lady at the reception is fabulous-funny, helpful, caring. The breakfast was good: clementines, apples, fresh baguette and 2 croissants, plain yogurt, cheese individually wrapped for sanitation, some other fruit, orange/pineapple juice and good coffee.

There was a wedding one night that lasted well into the next day with very drunk, abusive participants harassing hotel guests at breakfast and hotel staff doing nothing about it except providing them more alcohol.

A pleasant welcome from reception, he spoke good English and was welcoming. The rooms were clean and fresh, maybe the bed a little hard. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Recommended, value for money

Hôtel spotlessly clean. AC worked in the room and everything comfortable. Staff Very friendly and kind especially Zoe who helped me, nothing was too much trouble. Swam on the pool well maintained

A nice welcome. The room is basic and a little stark but perfectly acceptable with two large twin beds together making an enormous double bed. There is a very pleasant pool with loungers, which was lovely when the weather was warm enough for a dip on the second evening! There's also a nice area with tables and chairs outside where you can sit and read or drinks can be served. A very good breakfast with plenty of choice, unlimited coffee etc, which can be eaten inside or out. The restaurant next door, (which was closed on Monday night), was excellent, the meat being cooked over an open fire. The hotel was full and it was very busy, so might be wise too book. It's a10 minute walk from the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the stunningly beautiful medieval town of Perouges. Which is a must to visit. But be warned that it's quite a steep walk uphill, (I understand there is parking at the top if you have a car), and all of the town is very uneven cobblestones. So it's wise to wear shoes with good soles!

Nothing really. The inside breakfast area is fine but there's nowhere particularly inviting with comfortable seating if the weather isn't nice enough to sit outside. 

The reception was always very cordial and helpful, also in English when we arrived. The room was small but functional, wifi working ok.

We could not use the swimming pool, since we arrived too late, but this is our fault of course ;-)

Well situated close to the medieval city of Perouges, good value for money, staff very welcoming and helpful .

The breakfast was OK but not overwhelming (industrial cheese and ham rather than local products)

The staff are a credit to the hotel . Nothing was too much trouble . The pool was a great bonus as we were there during the heatwave . Very easy , secure parking , The rooms are not luxurious , but this is to be expected given the price & star rating of the hotel , they were however very clean & adequate for a stopover .
