The overall stay at a Fort is a great experience. Beautiful property, very nice sunset and very peaceful place to stay if that's what you are looking for. I would not suggest to stay here for more then 1 night. I would like to mention thats 60km waya from Jaisalmer.

Few things I would like to mention: 1. My stay was for 2 days, on 1st night I couldn't sleep properly because I need a dark room to sleep but there was so much of light from the lobby seeping in through the door as it has glasses. 2. It's far from Jaisalmer, total 60km out of which 45km through rural area where you see more cattle then people. I went to sand dunes the next day and whole too and fro took me 200km of drive, I was with my wife and my 2 year old son and it was kind of scary to dive back at night. In that 45km of drive I saw only 4 more vehicles and pitch darkness. So there is nothing not to like about the hotel, but if you are planning to visit Jaisalmer then it's not optimal specially if you don't have your own car.

A lovely fort property 60 mins from Jaiselmer. The staff is very helpful and the amenities are spot on. The spa was exceptional. They had accommodation for our driver as well, which was helpful. The evening musical program is exceptional and the atmosphere is lovely. Food is good.

Note that this property is 60 mins from Jaiselmer. Also, because of its slightly remote location, not every comfort is available. For example, breakfast is mainly an India spread, cereals and packaged yogurt is not served. We had no issues with this, but pls note for kids. Given the location, I'd also be hesitant in traveling with anyone who has a health condition.

I solely went on online reviews before booking this hotel & was very skeptical on how the property will look like and the service. I must say, it was an absolute delight to discover that this place is truly a fort built in 1944 and now converted into a hotel. The property is stunningly beautiful with it's overall look and the rooms are impeccable, lavish and gives you a feel of bygone Era of Maharajas. It is indeed a mini fort with different sections such as Rani Mahal, the surrounding rooms, maharaja darbar, a mini museum and the stunning architecture it offers to experience. Last but definitely not the least, the service was of great quality starting from restaurant, house keeping and maintenance staff. Rajesh, front office manager took out time to give us a tour of the fort, explaining the museum, various view points and happily clicking pictures for us. We were a family of 3 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Despite the property being approx 50 kms away from Jaisalmer city center, I would recommend that no one should miss a chance to stay here, it is definitely worth a minimum of 2 days stay. I can go on and on...but if I have to explain our experience in word....awesome...Thank you Rajesh and team for your hospitality Rgds Krishnakumar

Just the distance, but that's fine because the stay experience will help u forget about the distance issue

Property is absolutely stunning. We booked the King Suite which was amongst the most massive sized rooms we've ever stayed in, with large comfortable bed, large bathroom with tub and beautiful verandah overlooking to the gardens. Only 25 rooms in the property so no crowds, or chaos. Great place to enjoy a taste of royalty, stay comfortably and for photo ops. Food is delightful esp. their traditional Rajasthani cuisine (do try their laal maas & Rabodi ki sabzi!). It exceeded our expectations considering there are no restaurants or other options around the property and, as per past experience, food is always okish at such places and also super expensive. Although a bit on the steeper side, food was finger-licking good! The staff is very courteous, helpful and prompt. Extra points for their all-day round efforts to cater to our requirements. 10 points for hospitality!

Location is around 60k outside Jaisalmer (however for us it was perfect since we prefer properties outside the common crowded stay areas) In case you want to visit Jaisalmer tourist attractions, preferring this property will make it costlier. There's just a pool room so less options for kids' entertainment. Decent sized swimming pool as well.

Excellent Fort, converted into hotel and fitted with all modern amenities. This has been our only experience of staying in a real fort, and boy it was worth it. We took one of the large rooms with living room. Marble floor and sandstone wall, with luxurious bathroom. Amazing staffs. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was pleasant. Staffs at the dining area were extra attentive. Dinig staff even made some special dishes that were not on the menu. So, don't hesitate to ask :-) It is totally worth it

The location of this place is bit too far from the city. So ensure to have your own transportation. While it may be safe to travel to this place at night, but my wife and I were a bit afraid (skeptic), The road to this fort didn't have many cars per the India standard.

This is the last fort built in India completed construction in 1944. This is a military fort with a museum of old weapons but what was awesome is there is a army firing range close by, so close that when the did their firing practices we felt the shock waves in our rooms. From here you must visit the Longewala post and see the Indo-Pak border. The war of 1971 where 120 soldiers of the 23rd Punjab regiment with 4 hunter aircraft for the Indian airforce defeated and killed more than 200 Pakistan soldiers and destroyed more than 48 tanks and in the process only 2 soldiers and 1 RCL gun were martyred. This war is accredited as one of the most successful military operations in the world. if you have not watched the Bollywood move Border then you must watch and you will get to stand on the battlefield and the bunker and trench where all of this happened. You must also visit the war memorial

Memorable stay.. beautiful fort very well maintained. Double rooms were spacious, well appointed with all amenities..each room unique in design. Service and reception staff were top notch..courteous, hospitable and very quick in responding to any request. The pool is beautiful, the spa treatments we tried were very good. Breakfast and dinner buffets were extensive and the food tasty. The open air musical performances every night in the courtyard of the beautifully lit fort were quite an experience. Would definitely recommend this property

Awesome place Awesome staff Awesome feeling Everything was perfect and felt like a king as this was a palace turned to hotel. Very much comfortable and best place to stay and relax.

Location is really a challenge if you plan for any sightseeing in Jaisalmer. All major locations are more than 70 kms from this place. So spend leisure time here but if planned any major attractions pls stay in city with better options. Longewala/ Tanot Mandir/ Border more than 100 kms.

We loved the hospitality, the property and the food. We especially loved the care taken by Mr. Prashant during our entire stay. He made sure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. As we were the only guests at the property, we lived like royalty.

The location is pretty far from Jaiselmar and there isn't much to do in Mohangarh.
