I got an upgrade to a junior suite. The room had a great view on the harbour, was large super clean and comfortable. Amenities are appropriate and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located very close to the boats and the bus terminal is only a ten minute walk away. Overall liked my stay there

While the rooms look as advertised in the images, the outside appearance of the hotel and pool area on the roof are a lot nicer on the pictures than in real life. Breakfast was ok but nothing extraordinary

It is possible to see the port wide and clear from the large balcony of the room. The food in the breakfast was fresh and varied. The staff is attentive and helpful. Although not the ideal location, it was convenient with Subway and a gas station right across the hotel.

There is no parking, they tell you to leave it in front of the hotel and "it should be fine". When I went back there in the morning there were motorcycles all over my vehicle preventing me from getting in. A guy came and asked for money to take them away. For my situation, all I have lost was couple of minutes but this might be sign of a bigger security issue that other people may experience.

The location was great. It felt very safe. The beds were very comfortable. The room was a good size, with a nice balcony overlooking the city, as well as the ocean. There is a nice large rooftop pool. Breakfast was good. It changed a bit from day to day.

There is not much to complain about. The check in was a bit slow with only one employee checking everyone in at 3:00 pm

The comfort & cleanliness. In the town so walking distance to the local seafront cafes & small boats that take you on tours to the islands. Breakfast selection was great.

I had to change plans at the last minute and needed to change my hotel booking to the following day; the hotel accepted the last minute change without charge which I'm very appreciative of!

Feels brand new but not properly maintained. Could be cleaner although the rooms themselves were fine.

The bathroom was very unclean, with hair on the shower drain. Also there was the tv decoder that was not hidden

It’s a great hotel…even surprisingly so given that Buenaventura is not such a great place.

The Cosmos Hotel is in the only safe area of the city. You can reach the safe Malecon by walking. There is also a nice cafe close to the water. All safe areas are connected or it is one big. In this area there is also a Olimpia supermarket. You are close to the boats to the Islands. I suggest Island JuanChaco. I was following a suggestion of Sergio from the reception and it was a match. I give a special thank you to all the 3 men of the reception. I hope, the hotel knows, how hard they work for the hotel and the clients. They made every mistake of the hotel good.

Nothing in the hotel is 100%. Everything is like 90%. But I think the hotel is the only real good option for an European or American tourist. Please make a reclamation, if anything is not to your full satisfaction. They really care. Every reclamation was solved in a good way in a short time. And again thanks to the 3 men from the reception.
