The property is in a calm area and is quiet. It is a 10 minute beach walk from Malecon. Vendors come by and offer services and sell snacks and food. The staff speak English and Spanish and are of service 24 hours throughout the day. Vehicles are well cared for as security is roaming within the premises day and night. It was my families second stay at Stella del Mar. Este lugar se lo recomiendo.

The entire experience was terrific. We lived in San Diego for 20 years - had we known this gem was a four-drive from home, we would have made this trip on a regular basis. The people are lovely, truly accommodating. The restaurant food is delicious, every bite! The location on the beach is just perfect - breathtaking sunrise!

We had a king bed which would have been far more comfortable had king-sized sheets been used to make the bed. It appeared queen-sized sheets were used. As a result, whenever we moved, the fitted sheet pulled off the mattress. 😕

staff communication was great beforehand and our concerns were already taken care of before we arrived. The room was right on the beach so a great view. it was clean and there was a restaurant right next to us with great food. We were driving with an SUV full of our things and with 2 kayaks on top and felt very safe parking right next to our room. We would stay there again!

Stella has smaller rooms which are almost new, right on the beach. You're off the main roads so it's quieter, and just steps from the sand. The beach is very private with chairs and palapas for guests. Rooms have a beach view as well. Manny's restaurant is excellent with great food, beachfront location and a great vibe around the bar. Manny is usually there as well.

minor issue-parking is tight and spaces are right in front of your door. if your neighbor leaves early you'll hear them.

We stayed in this hotel about 5 years ago, and it was decent. We booked it again and we could tell the improvements. We loved staying at this hotel this time. Proposal: a few rinsing stations would be great so guests could rinse before getting into their rooms and before getting into the ocean. Beach towels also would be greatly appreciated.

Love that these little bungalow type rooms are right on the beach. We looked right out onto the sand and the palapas rught in front of the room. Took our bottle of wine and glasses, and in 5 seconds, we were sitting in the shade of a palapa in Adirondack chairs with our feet in the sand. Then we walk down the beach a few feet to the restaurant/bar and have a great seafood meal. Our second visit here and we love it. ❤️

Showers - I showered in the evening and had a nice hot shower. My husband showered in the morning, and it was cold. I think think they probably run out of hot water during busy times. We both showered in the morning on our last visit, and it was cold then too.

The bungalows are just on the beach. My kids could go play on their own with no problem at all. People working there are very professional and friendly. Food is fantastic!

We loved everything!

This is our regular stop on the drive to Bahía de Los Angeles. We like the location because it’s right on the beach and it’s lovely to see the ocean and walk onto the sand in the morning.

There was a slight odor in the room that wasn’t offensive, but noticeable at first. It either dissipated from airing out the room or I got used to it.

This was our third time staying here. We love how the little bungalows sit right up against the beach. There are Adirondack chairs and palapas on the beach in front of the rooms. We enjoy sitting out there with a bottle of wine in the evening. Then just meandering a few feet/meters to the restaurant that we can access straight from the beach for both breakfast and dinner.

Sometimes hot water disappears in the morning - suspect they may run out.

Loved everything. Location is perfect, a few blocks from Malecon. It was clean and probably just remodeled, all was great. Also the restaurant next door has great food and service! We will be back!
