Nice location, wonderful view over the Nam Ou river, comfortable and cozy bungalows, very friendly and helpful staff. You can book scooters through the hotel.

There is a bar in the direct neighbourhood, which in the evening is quite noisy due to loud music playing. Didn’t bother us too much.

The room had excellent shelving for putting luggage on. Loved that there were hooks in both the room and the bathroom to hang clothes on. Extra shelf in the shower area! Loved all the shelves and hooks!!! Nice sink area for hand washing clothes. There were several power outlets. Had a great river view balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was made to order so it was really nice to have hot food as opposed to all the cold buffets we’ve had over the past 2 months of traveling in Asia. Very little street noise. Host arranged for our all day tour and boat which left right from the guesthouse. Host speaks English, which was very helpful. Staff are all super sweet! I would definitely stay here again once the kids get older….

Room #3 has the loudest air conditioning unit. It bangs and snaps all night long, really annoying and it needs to be repaired. The only other complaint is on the noise from their children. As other reviews have said, a very nice young family operates this guesthouse but that comes with noisy children. I love children and I love happy children sounds but… one of the young kids whines and cries from early morning to fairly late at night.

Comfortable matras and pillows. Clean and spacious shower. Nice location next to the water, where you can swim.

It would be so nice if the staff would invest some time in making the riverside more accessible. Somewhere to sit and see the sunset. Cleaning up some plastic waste. It would increase value for money big time.

Easy to find, pleasant check in. External of property is a bit rickety but is directly river side. I booked a river side room with balcony which was very nice. There are two river side balcony rooms sharing a common structure. The first one is accessed from the balcony, we accessed the second one around back. The internal soundproofing between the rooms is excellent but there is no privacy on the balcony between the rooms, nor from the neighbouring rental to our left. But, that’s all okay as we’re all just looking at the river not each other! This would be nice for a family or friends to rent both units at the same time. The room itself is very nicely appointed and clean. Nice bed and linens. Bath towels AND hand towels! Kettle, water and coffee. Mini fridge. Good lighting and bed side lamps. AC and a fan. Places to put your luggage and a closet. There is a nice vanity and sink at the back of the room and then a door to the toilet and shower. And considering the location, the waterfall shower is excellent with lots of hot water! The balcony is a good size and has two comfortable chairs and a table. It was very quiet overnight. The young man who checked us in is very pleasant and has a book of boat and other tours you can book if you don’t want to go into “town” to find your own. He offered us a modified version of one of the set tours that suited our needs best so we were very pleased with that. We paid for the room and the boat trip in US$. There are tables scattered outside between the guest house and the river for breakfast. Some guests had the breakfast at their room balcony. Things like banana pancake and fried rice, both with a nice fruit bowl and a decent coffee.

Many tripping hazards on the external of this property, the decks down to the river and accessing boats at the river.

Just mind-blowing location and view. You never feel tired to watch morning cloud show on faraway hills and mountain. Nicy for step walking breakfast, but I need a bit more, but next time I will order extra, restoration available. Clean room, bathroom too. All fine around.

This is a great choice for Nong Khiaw. The rooms are a reasonable size, clean & modern. The shower is good with hot water. I liked that there were plenty of power sockets and the vanity basin outside of the bathroom was a nice touch. The breakfast was made to order eggs, bread, fruit & coffee and always tasty. The view from my balcony (upper level) was shared but nice with river views. The staff are sometimes difficult to find but friendly and accommodating. There is no mini fridge & the water / power went out a few times but I think this was the whole area. Overall I would recommend this property.

Staff were super attentive, and booked our tours, scooter rental and transport no problem. Location was great, although down a muddy road in Wet Season, but just get your flip flops out and it's no stress. The room completely exceeded our expectations, the balcony was shared but it makes it even better, time to chat with other travellers over breakfast, with an absolutely gorgeous view. Very happy!

I would personally prefer Asian style breakfast to Western style breakfast, but that's just me. In saying that, breakfast was still great, offering eggs, bread and lots of fruit. Nothing bad to say about this stay! Great people and place!

The people were super friendly and kind. The place is run by a sweet Laotian family. They are willing to help you with anything. The room is cosy and a nice room! The location is walking distance to the small center. For the rest, the location is beautifull with a beautifull view over the river and mountains!

We thought they would have a bathtub in the room we rented because booking.com says so and the photos aswell (family room) but it doesn't have a bathtub nor a corner to sit. I asked the manager but this is old information. Before they had these rooms but they are gone now.

The setting is beautiful along side the river and each morning you are served breakfast and your individual table with a view of the river. The staff is family and they go out of their way to answer all questions and make you feel comfortable with a smile. The father of the family was our boat captain one day as we venture up river, very nice person. I was able to park my big motorcycle nearly outside my door which was safe, the location was walking distance to several good restaurants as well.

Unfortunately there was some new bungalow construction next door, but they could not control that. Having a small refrigerator in the room would have been nice as well.

Amazing view over the river from the balcony on 2nd floor , staff very friendly & helpful , booked a man with a boat for a trip up river with them & it was good , room was clean , shower was excellent hot with good pressure, wi-fi pretty good , breakfast was basic but ok , quite a few places to eat in the immediate area , would stay again

Bed was a bit lumpy , could do with more comfortable seats on the balcony, bit of a walk into town 15 to 20 mins , not a deal breaker tho , building work going on next door when I stayed but that cant be helped tho
