The staff is friendly and helpful. The views from the balconies and bar are good. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Refrigerator and air conditioning are very nice.

Frequent electricity and water outages. The hotel has a backup generator and water pump, which help solve these problems most of the time.

The most distinguished thing about this hotel is the staff(*****) .. they are "so", " so" wonderful.. friendly..& helpful.. specifically: the two young ladies: Annociate & Dodo(abbreviation of "difficult to remember" name !! ..she was a nice receptionist girl .. she helped me in doing a city tour concentrating on religious sites) .. & never forget the two young gentlemen: Immanuel & Ali ).. thank you all .. The recurrent electricity/ water supply cut-off .. I don't blame the hotel administration.. It's because of poor infrastructure in Burundi (yes they have a generator.. but it can't withstand the frequent shutdown in power )

The hospitality and service I received from the staff were exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel welcome and attended to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff members were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The accommodation was beyond my expectations. The room was not only spacious and well-designed but also impeccably clean. The attention to detail in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness did not go unnoticed, and it added to the overall comfort of my stay. I definitely recommend Dolce Vita Resort Hotel for anyone considering visiting Burundi.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, a very special thank you to Odean and Eraste who helped to make my lack of not being able to speak French not a problem. The whole/most of the team at Dolce Vita was on point. The breakfast was ok and the evening meals are very good,. The location is good for getting taxis into town or wherever you want to go. WiFi pretty good plus 24 hour power/electricity by way a big generator.

Got to mention the bad smell coming from the bathroom, but if you keep the door closed it's bearable.

The staff at this hotel make it special. Really made an effort, from the security guard wishing me "good afternoon" and "how are you" or similar every time I went in and out with a charming smile, the help parking the truck, the trainee who was charming and tried very hard, and the lady who seemed to be everywhere (reception, then the roof bar) on my fist stay and told me a story about Giharo in Rutana I didn't know. I thought the pool was going to be too small, but actually it was good, for a long swim swim, clean and fresh and nice and deep at one end. Great food and the lovely chef came out to check it was all ok as well. The rooms are nice and the place has a feel of decadent old world charm. Liked the towel arrangement on the bed!

A chair for the work table would be handy, didn't have one in my second stay. Coffee and or tea to go with the kettle, cups and sugar would be nice for a morning coffee (or tea). Picking small holes in a really nice room and stay though.

Breakfast and dinner were good and satisfactory, The staff was very helpful and friendly but as there was serious shortage of petrol in town I would have wanted to stay closer to the centre ville.

There was some confusion about our room, I ALWAYS ask for a room on second ( or higher) floor and a double bed, but that problem was solved very quickly.

The spices in food were a little too much for my taste.A little more balance in seasoning would make the dining experience even better.
