Breakfast was really enjoyable, good quality and large variety. Generous amount of stuff is making sure the hotel is always clean. Everyone was nice and helpful. There is coral reef just in front of the hotel. Great for snorkeling.

There is amazing roof with beautiful views which is not utilized. Saunas are by default off, you need to come by yourself to switch it on and come in an hour later. Jazzuzi not available. Without the car the hotel is a bit difficult. Uber is not really available in the town and driver called by reception was really expensive. Not everyone at the reception speaks English and they are not ready to recommend you where it is nice in the town, what restaurant to go, how to book some trips/guide in the area. This is missed opportunity in my view. The surrounding are beautiful, both the desert and sea. I was lucky for Nouf ,she had great English and gave me tips for drivers and boat trip. Even though I did not like much the boat trip, the restaurant she recommended was great.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure that every detail of my stay was taken care of. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and offer breathtaking views of the Red Sea. Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and the view of endless blue water was pure bliss. Overall, Waves Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s not just a place to stay but an experience in itself. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and unforgettable retreat in Umluj!

There are few hotels of this standard on the Red Sea coast. Delighted to have come across Waves. Food is excellent. Great pool too.

I had a bizarre experience of paying twice. Even though I paid a digital invoice in advance, my late arrival meant that the desk staff were unable to verify my payment on their side, despite showing them my digital receipt issued by their payment platform. Arriving late at night after a long drive, this wasn’t ideal. I then paid again in cash (luckily I had enough on me) for my first night, with a request that I could please be refunded immediately the next morning. On doing so, I was then only refunded 90% for the time being, as the accounts team were not yet in (?!). All was settled eventually, and the staff are super friendly. However, the hotel really need to sort this aspect out!

My recent stay at The Waves Hotel was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome I received from Nouf, the receptionist. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness immediately put me at ease. Nouf wasn't just polite, she went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. Her efficiency and helpfulness set the tone for a wonderful stay. Equally impressive was Nada, a member of the hotel's buffet service staff. Her hard work and dedication were evident in the beautifully presented and delicious food options. But what truly stood out was her extensive politeness. Nada's interactions with guests were consistently courteous and helpful, a true testament to Saudi Arabian hospitality. Thanks to the exceptional service of Nouf and Nada, my experience at The Waves Hotel was exceptional. Their genuine warmth and professionalism not only made my stay enjoyable but also reflected very well on Saudi Arabia's dedication to exceptional service.

Firstly, big shout out and thank you to the service team at Waves hotel. We felt very well taken care of as soon as we entered the hotel to the moment we left. They made our special day even more memorable because of their care. Thank you especially to Nouf, Mustafa, Abdullah , Hasan the bell boy, the Breakfast manager in brown uniform, and the lady who works the night shift and checked us in. Secondly, everything was clean, room service was fast, gym was good, and the food was nice. We will come back again and recommend you to our friends and family. Thank you again.

Some suggestions to make it even better: 1) for all the beach chairs to have cushions on them 2) for the cleaning staff to check that the amenities boxes are full before replacing them (dental kit etc) 3) heated pool would be great

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. The rooms were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The colors and interior design was wow! The restaurant was great and the food was delicious with very good value for money. What made it an exceptional stay were the staff, from the moment that I arrived until I left, they made me feel like home, very welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful, especially Nouf, she is very professional and kind. Thank you all very much! There is a beautiful pool and the hotel is right on the beach. If you're looking for a calm and peaceful place, then Waves hotel is the best choice.

Location, room furniture, balcony view, and cleanliness, parking, breakfast, private beach, late checkout… :)

1- Bathroom shower water pressure is not up to the expectation of such a luxurious hotel and price. Shower water pressure is below normal pressure in any house. 2- Hot water in the shower is fluctuating between very hot and cold. Opened the shower for a long time only the hot water but water keeps fluctuating between hot and warm. 3- Shower neck is short leaving the guest without any choice but to stay too close to the water control buttons which is not comfortable. 4- towel holder near the basins has very sharp edges. 5- room toilet sink edges are not easy … 6- we were offered 1 set only of disposables for showering, tooth brush, and slippers although the reservation is for a family. 7- fragrance is nice in the lobby but it’s too much in level 4 don’t know about other levels…

Difficult to swim due to a huge rock at the beach, asked for massage and the designated person called us the next day after our checkout and there is room for improvement at breakfast

Everything was perfect. The rooms are spotless and new. The breakfast had good variety and amazing quality. The staff in the breakfast area were very helpful and friendly. I hope the hotel will maintain the standards and we hope when we visit it in a year or two it will be the same. I can’t thank the reception staff enough, Ms Nouf and Ms Raghda were so nice, kind and welcoming. Every member of the hotel staff made our trip worthwhile.
