Convenient location in the center of Xpujil 15mins by foot from the ADO (long distance national bus service) station. Clean, comfortable hotel rooms with staff on standby at reception and a small, efficient restaurant. Hotel rooms are nicely equipped and the hotel is a perfect overnight destination on the way to the Calakmul biosphere reserve and archaeological zone

Our experience at this hotel was better than expected. We had a smooth check-in despite arriving late, and found clean & comfortable rooms. We didn’t try out the restaurant so cannot say if the food/variety is any good.

Large , clean rooms with all the facilities & storage you would hope for ..

No drinking policy in room . There isn't much to do during evenings in Xpujil & everything closes early . A quiet `supermarket' beer in room would have been nice after ruins . Although I understand they've probably had problems from noisy guests in past hence the rule . I guess some guests might also see this as an advantage. Very good hotel overall & Id certainly stay here again .

One of the closest hotels and villages to Calakmul, which is how we found the place to stay, still about 1 hour drive to the entrance at night. Xpujil has their own little archeological site and Becan is close by as well. In the village you find some shops, bakeries and taquerias. Try to go by the furniture manufacturer Adolfo and his father they make fantastic furniture (unfortunately most of them too big to take with us, we got some small souvenirs made of wood instead). Great grilled chicken, see pictures.

Nothing to complain, while we were there their satellite company was trying to fix tv reception, not very successful and stable, but then, who needs tv in that place with so much to see.

Ok price for what you get. Friendly staff in reception. Parking on-site. Big bed, spacious room, sofa. Complimentary water. Calm area. Very good restaurant around the corner on the main road.

The "superior studio" does not have a balcony – it is accessed through the same balcony that leads to other rooms on the same floor. The bathroom could be cleaner. We had a tour booked that would pick us up at 7:15, and the hotel restaurant did not open for breakfast until 7 although we were told it would open at 6:30, which meant we had to get our breakfast takeaway to eat on the road. The breakfast is quite plain and the waiter uninspired. The free wifi is patchy.

This hotel is nestled away up a side street about 3 blocks or so from the main highway thru. town. They do a good business, and deserve it. They are a choice for tour groups and professionals working away from home. They have off-street parking, which is motorcycle friendly which is important to some (like me). The staff is friendly and efficient. They have an on-site restaurant which serves great food and is of course very convenient. There is a convenience store just 2 blocks away that is fairly well stocked.

Place is clean, well run, room was spacious

Beds are uncomfortable, seems the mattresses are very old and worn. Restaurant personnel was a bit lunatic. There were several power and water outages but these seem to be an issue for the entire town in general.

The property is a rural hotel in a village lost in the middle of a tropical forest. There were some imperfections, but overall the standard was high given the circumstances. The room was clean, dry, airy, and had a working AC. The wifi connection was quite good too. There is a hotel restaurant serving simple and good meals. All the staff was very friendly and nice to talk to (in Spanish).

There was a short circuit and the electricity wires powering the room buzzed worryingly.

The breakfast was not included with our room. But it was very reasonably priced. Good selection, made to order, and tasty. The rooms are very large and beds are comfortable. These rooms and grounds are spotlessly clean. The staff is very nice and accommodating. You are right off the main highway so at night there is no traffic noise, but like in all rural towns there is going to be some roosters letting you know what is going on:)

Pillows are a personal choice. They were a little hard for us, so if you have a travel pillow maybe bring it????

Place was clean, food in the hotel's restaurant was good and fresh. There were clean towels, bedding, shampoo, water bottles. The lady at the reception arranged a colectivo to Calakmul for the next morning, for a reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay (1 night). Fairly close to bus station on foot.

From the reviews I previously saw, I had not high expectations from this hotel. On the opposite, it was a very nice staying! It is in the nature, with parking available and big and cleaned rooms. In front of our room there was the restaurant where we had some beers and a very nice dinner and breakfast. There was warm water in the shower. We stayed there to go to Calakmul, it was perfect for that. Price/quality recommended.

Wifi connection not perfect but not a big deal
