Stayed in a ground floor bungalow unit. Spacious. Nice comfortable bed. Full kitchen. Refrigerator. Screened patio and windows. Good air conditioning and air circulation fans. Close to everything in Mazunte. Beach, grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies. Courteous and accommodating staff. Really nice owner. There is an entry gate with lock. Beautiful garden courtyard. Lots of trees and plants. There was a communal kitchen in addition to the kitchen in my unit. Drinking water was always available. Waste recepticals. Property is very well maintained which is an ongoing challenge in tropical climates. I felt really safe in this oasis of tranquility. Beach was about 2 blocks away.

Casa Mazunte Tierra Viva was a place that was perfect for us. It is close to the beach but at the same time peaceful and quiet during the late evenings and night. The staff, all of them, and especially the hostess was incredibly kind, down to earth and helpful. We were able to prepare our own meals some of the days during our stay as we love to cook and this could be done both within our apartment/room as well as outside in a common kitchen/dining area. We felt very good at Casa Mazunte and there are plenty of sweet little family businesses nearby where you can have a delicious coffee, beer or a bite to eat. Loved it. Straight-forward sweet happy place close to everything else you might need: market, organic market on Sundays, good coffee places nearby, delicious fresh juices, smoothies everywhere around, happy small family business, beach 3 minutes away, gym nearby, everything....

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Mazunte Tierra Viva! The room was tidy, spacious, and air-conditioned, making it super comfortable, especially in the Mazunte heat. The location is perfect, just minutes away from the beach, and they even have a garage to park your scooter, which was really convenient. What really stood out was the hospitality of the host. They were incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to work and eat in the common area while our room was being prepared. It made a great first impression and set the tone for a welcoming stay. We would absolutely stay here again! In fact, we wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately, they were fully booked.

Super clean! Our bedroom was cleaned every day which was a great bonus. We changed to the bigger room on the first night and the owners were very accommodating. Ideal location right in the centre of the small cute town.

We’re in nature so there are some little ants but nothing the hotel could control. Bathroom is pretty basic but does the job!

Lush plants, pretty tiles and artwork. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The property feels safe. Hammocks, chairs and tables in the nice common area. Two blocks from the beach, many cafes, restaurants, and shops all around. Air conditioner and fan in the room work great.

When booking, guests should be aware that beds in each room have no privacy or separation. The kitchen is completely shared. Consider this when booking for a family. Rooms are simple, as expected for the price.

Where to begin! I had such a wonderful stay at Casa Mazunte Tierra Viva. The hosts, Abner and Parti, were so lovely - they made me feel welcomed and at home. The location is amazing, you can hear the ocean from your room. The shared facilities are great and the A/C is an added bonus. Thanks again for letting me stay at your Casa, it was a very memorable trip :)

The room was lovely with a Mexican vibe (whitewashed walls and pretty decor). Close to the beach and restaurants.

Have stayed in places with friendlier staff. We were bailed up by the manager a couple of days into the stay who asked who we were, with no intro as to who he was (we had to ask "and who are you?", which was a little off putting. Also close to a bangin' bar which we could hear from the room. Nevertheless convenient to everything - it's just that the staff were a little - aloof?

The bungalow was spacious, equipped with all we needed + fresh water, AC that works great and hot water. We would stay there again! The staff was very helpful and nice too!

Only downside was the internet outside of our room. When you’re here to work like we were, it can be a problem.. Fortunately, inside the bungalow it worked fine! and there are cafes around too if needed.

This place exceeded our expectations - we enjoyed having our own hammock off our little balcony, and we appreciated a solid a/c as well. The staff was kind and welcoming, and they answered many questions regarding local activities and helped us get a taxi back to Pochutla on the last morning. Our room was spacious and clean, and we had everything we needed to cook (though we ate out daily). We also had lots of fresh water in the room that we used to refill water bottles which was so convenient and appreciated! The location is also fantastic - it seems to be in a quieter area, though it is still central and very close to the beach, some restaurants, and a smoothie place that also doubles as a cash exchange place if you're in a pinch. The property itself is also lovely, and we enjoyed lounging at the hammocks under the trees on a few occasions in the afternoon. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking in Mazunte!
