Hotel Bahnhofs is remarkable for a number of reasons- The owners have taken a dream to reality in a fabulous restoration of the building that blends old and modern features that provide a “Wow” factor. Our room 333 was spacious, comfortable and the decor was beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, caring and provided a welcoming atmosphere that is missing in many places. The food and beverages are excellent and moderately priced. We had a family dinner that was enjoyed all. The owners went beyond any expectations to provide a special four days. Alūksne should be on the list for all visitors to Latvia and has amazing historical sites and experiences.

Breakfast was filling with an assortment of options. Eggs could be cooked to order. Nice that my room had A/C. The staff was amazing and made my stay fun and comfortable. Beautiful outdoor seating was available. There was not a lot of parking spaces in front of the hotel, but there was ample public parking directly across the street.

Stronger WiFi signal in room 203 could be improved. Oddly enough my laptop would connect without problem and have a low WiFi signal, but my cellular phone struggled to maintain WiFi connection. The shower stall in the room had a slow drain when shower head was turned fully on. It took me a day or two to realize the shower cannot be turned on fully for the sake of the drain.

People, please come to Aluksne to stay at this amazing hotel! We loved absolutely everything. I cannot compare our experience to a lot of hotels in Latvia as unfortunately we haven't travelled so much around our country but this experience was 10 out of 10! I wanted to say special thanks to lovely staff member Sanita. My boyfriend had birthday and she made a surprise cake for him together with a glass of prosecco and small candle. We briefly met the owner who was eager to tell a story about the hotel. The interior, our room, staff, breakfast, location - all was just perfect. Thank you very much!

Our stay was too short. Only thing we definitely regret.

Hotel has a great location just next to the Narrow Gauge Train station (with station restaurant) and some 800 meters from the city centre. Rooms are spacious and building is renovated in a 20th century beginning Manor House style. Beds are comfortable and restrooms with ample room with good showers and facilities. Staff is really helpful but it's recommended to arrive before 22 at night as there is no night service without prior arrangement.

The hotel might seem a bit far from the city centre but 800 meters with lots of parking place really compensates it.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and professional. Gave clear instructions as to how keys were to be left upon leaving. The hotel itself had a warm and charming atmosphere and was well furnished. The beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel had well thoughtout decor, and a good playlist of music in the common areas. Really well put together. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Aluksne. 10/10 The restaurant within the hotel was beautifully decorated. The tables were well dressed, and the food was delicious. Service was top notch! Value for your money spent is well worth it! I found the rooms to be quite affordable. The accomodations were wonderful.

Nicely designed, comfortable, kind stuff.

It was requested not to eat in the room. I have never heard something like that before. I guess if you pay eur120 per night, you should be able to use the room as you please.

The hotel is beautiful and the beds are really comfy; one staff member was exceptionally nice (forgot her name)

Breakfast is way too expensive for what you get. It's rare to see such expensive breakfast in EU (or Latvia) so for €15 it should be smth exceptional, which this isn't.

Very stylish and newly renovated small hotel. I liked the interior. Room was small but cozy. Very quiet. The bed is super soft. Everything was perfect! The receptionist Marta made us feel welcome and helped with everything. We visited the hotel restaurant fir dinner and it was also very nice!

Great place! congratulations for the business venture in Aluksne. Very surprised to find this quality that far aways from Riga.

Location is good, but the view from the park toward the soviet buildings in front of it, does not help to keep the atmosphere of inside. This place deserves to be near a lake. I would suggest to plant tall "tuyas" so it will help to create a different feeling. Just a suggestion.
