Old-World Charm with a Warm Welcome What a delightful experience at the North Gregory Hotel! It's rare to find a place that so successfully maintains its old-world charm, making you feel as though you've stepped into a bygone era. While a few touch-ups here and there wouldn't go amiss, the hotel scored high on the essentials: our room was comfortable and spotless, and every staff member we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. Plus, the restaurant served up some truly yummy food. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique and authentic stay.

This is an old building but beautiful. And it is quirky. The courtyard was great along with the entertainment. Thank you Bradley. The meals were supersized compared to what we get served in the city, so beware. And very quick to come out. Service and staff were friendly and accommodating, from the Receptionist, to cleaning and behind the bar. Cannot praise all of the staff enough. We were fortunate to get a room with the verandah which overlooks the main road. Enjoyed sitting and chatting with the other guests while the sky lit up with the colours of the sunset. 24 hour laundromat was a bonus.

This hotel offers a flashback to the opulence of the 50's when it really was the last word in luxury in this region of Queensland. It's a bit tired now, but clean, comfortable and a bit quirky. The staff are lovely, the evening meals are popular and very good (great value). We didn't need the airconditioning (being May), but we noted that each room has a new-ish unit. The history of the hotel is worth observing.

Great pub stay, great food and beer. Loved the history, nightly entertainment and whole vibe. Rooms were comfy, large and had everything I needed. Live the comfy chairs out on the balconys to sit and relax!

A bit loud in the morning and curtains didn’t cover over the whole window so a big bright. But incentive to get up and start exploring.

The Hotel had old world charm although some was aspects were kitch. The poetry session and live music every night was unexpected and gave a welcome feel to the place.The many foreign workers were welcoming and super helpful. Also really pleased about the complimentary shampoo - it as excellent.

The lack of power points and th location (over the mini fridge) in the room made charging a phone overnite not simple - just a suggestion but a small power board / adaptor being available from reception and a note to say it is.

Located right in the centre of town, close to all facilities. Room was tidied up each day and each evening there were Banjo Paterson stories and poetry, followed by a country singer.

Sulphur in the town water - totally outside management's control!

Right in the centre of Winton this is the perfect place for a real “Winton” experience. The daily bush poet performances and the live music in the evenings as well as the super friendly staff make for a marvellously enjoyable stay.

The rooms are tired and could use a makeover but look past this and you’ll love this place.

Oozed with old fashioned character. Restaurant was well priced with generous servings and the food was very good. Nice staff and clean establishment.

We unfortunately didn’t have a room with door access directly onto the balcony and it was across from the hotel’s private laundry so it was very noisy early in the morning.

Fabulous experience to stay in an historic hotel. Meals were large and delicious and great to have an afternoon bubbles while looking out over the Winton streetscape. Appreciated all the information that was available on the history of the hotel.

Not much really - appreciate that it is an old hotel and that is part of the experience. Outside areas could have been a lot cleaner but it must be hard to keep clean with the constant wind and dust.

The hotel is everything you could expect in a beautiful old country hotel PLUS MORE !! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful , the restaurant is quick , good value for money and above what one would expect from a small country town !! This hotel , its management and staff are 100% top quality and it was both a pleasant surprise and gratifying experience ! not only do we highly recommend it but we will be back ! Exceptionally clean rooms , bathrooms and common areas , comfortable beds , centrally located , friendly , cooperative and hospitable !

NO Floooding !!!... lol... all jokes aside the hotel could not have looked after us any better in any way !! They assisted us with rebooking after the floods cut roads etc and were extremely professional !
