Protea Hotel Benin City is in a very nice and safe location. The staff are extremely professional, and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The breakfast is very good with lots and lots of varieties. I really enjoyed my stay and felt very safe.

The carpets in the hallways need changing or a thorough deep cleaning needed ASAP.

The breakfast had varied local and international options. But the best part was, any meal could be made to order upon request

It would have been great if drinking bottled water was readily available without being charged. For me who had dietary issues, I would have like to see calorie controlled options. The pool was good but hardly used because of its location. It is not a good feeling to be oogled by non guests

The managers made attempts to make my stay comfortable due to Incorrect accommodations, which were not able to keep.Also room selected on Booking.com was not aligned with rooms this hotel offered their guest.

I booked a specific room online and once I arrived the hotel management team stated that room does not exist and they need to contact Booking.com about the incorrect information. As a guest it is not my problem the miscommunication between hotel and Booking.com. As a guest I know what accommodations I paid for. I also correspond with the reservation manager about disabilities needs and that option was not available upon check-in

Hotel was neat, front of house staff exceptionally friendly and professional. Breakfast was great, with good variety.

Bathroom was really dated, could do with some upgrade. AC did not work well and the weather was super hot.

The lift was None functional and with frequent breakdowns or was out of order. It needs replacement or a professional to put it in good shape and order

It’s very western and the beds are not hard as a rock like most of the hotels in Benin City. The staff is also very welcoming and attentive.

There are some road constructions happening in front of the hotel so you have to use the back access to get to the hotel.

The room was very clean, though small. Hotel staff were very professional and ready to help. Their hot breakfast is very good and they had lots of varieties.

Their towels are a bit old and I think they should be replaced.

The ambience was awesome, quiet, the quality of the guests lodging was really good, no riff-raffs or shamefully dressed individual(yahoo boys as is the nom these days in hotels) Its really lovely to see hotels that uphold standards and not make it about money. Breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome too...very attentive staff..,,,,,,over attentive even but lovely
