Nicole, the host, was friendly, informative and super helpful - at some point in the afternoon I needed crazy glue, and she unexpectedly came through with some! The room was clean; had a well appointed kitchenette and a super comfy bed. The shared common room with brochures and snacks was a nice touch. The house is within a stone's throw of Shoppers Drug Mart and a plethora of restaurants. Don't miss out on this home away from home if Kenora is a stopping point on your journey.

Almost not worth mentioning, but there is no in-suite control of the temperature as the HVAC is centrally controlled. Having said that, the temperature I experienced was perfect.

(Side note: check out nearby River Air float plane 30-min tour of Lake of the Woods - spectacular!) -Thoughtfully and tastefully prepared rooms with comfortable beds. -We arrived upon a very short notice after booking (our original accommodation made on another platform fell through and there were very limited options remaining in town due to the Kenora fires) and the hosts were quick to welcome us and to settle us in with reassuring ‘don’t worry , we’ll make it work’! Amazing hosts!

I liked how on the ball the owners were to help me out even though I arrived late in the night. They look after this place and it was very cozy. I told my wife if we stayed in Kenora again for any reason that we should stay there. I was very happy with their guest Netflix on their smart TV. There was a mini fridge with drinks inside. Very posh looking presentation of little details such as folding the towels neatly etc. A real eye for detail! I’m easy to please but it was great. Bed was very comfy! And the blankets smelled very fresh and clean. Thank you!!

We appreciated being met by Nicole and given a run-through of the services and room features upon our arrival. It is a very well maintained and clean, cozy room with everything we needed. It was very quiet, and we felt comfortable (great bed and fridge, coffee, etc.) and we'd definitely recommend and return again! The host was wonderful at anticipating people's needs and there is effort and caring involved in how they run their business.

The location of Stone House is perfect to spend a couple of days in and around Kenora. a good number of restaurants, as well as the museum, are within walking distance. A very spacious room (actually a double room), clean and comfortable. It could use some artwork, maybe another make-up mirror (for the ladies in our lives) in the hall. And the beds were ever so comfortable, the room was quiet and the kitchenette had everything you could need. We will book again if we are in the area.

There is not much to complain about, but if I want to nitpick, the room could use another mirror and maybe some artwork from in and around Kenora. But it is not a deal-breaker.

Location was great for our needs!! We were well received by very friendly hosts!! Thank you for coffee!!! The kitchen and bathroom was well stocked for a short stay. There were lovely little extra touches that made us feel at home!!

Our stay was only two nights and so we did not unpack. It would have been nice to have a foldable stand for our luggage so we didn't have to leave it suitcases on the floor. As there were three of us, an extra chair (perhaps foldable) would have been nice, too

Pretty well everything. Nicole and Nacho were lovely, helpful hosts. The room was large, light and very clean with a good size bathroom. It is in a perfect location for access into town and has views over the lake. A good little area for making hot drinks with a fridge that had been kindly stocked with cold drinks and milk. Free parking

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but a couple of items extra would be helpful: A second mirror in the room rather than just in the bathroom. A something to hang clothes on.

The property is really really good. The owner Nicole is super friendly and helpful. The building is set up really well and the room it’s self was superb, really modern and absolutely spotless. They have put a lot of personal touches to the rooms to make it feel homely. A lot of 5 star hotels could learn a lot about cleanliness standards from the owners of this property. Location is also great with the harbour under a 2 minutes walk and free parking at the accommodation. 😃

Location was nice, right downtown. Near brewpub and the Hungry Pug (wonderful breakfasts). Nicole our host was right there to let us in. Large comfortable room, beautiful bathroom. Quiet and peaceful overnight. Would recommend!

Absolutely in the heart of downtown so we never got into our car for 2 days! Hosts were friendly, helpful, & thought of creature comforts that were very appreciated by guests. Loved the bed, the blinds, the toiletries and linens were all top notch.

Could have used a luggage rack, but used the chairs provided for the drop leaf table in the room (Unit 3)
