This was my second stay at Abomey events. The previous time, just a few days earlier, I loved everything except for when it was time to check out, when it took over 45 minutes to pay above what was quoted on Booking.com. I figured that check out should be smoother the second time around because everyone would have figured everything out. So, this time around, I met with familiar faces who were again so kind to me. Again, the room was excellent (clean, spacious, wonderful air conditioning, great shower with excellent water pressure and even hot water, comfortable bed). Breakfast was exactly the same as the previous mornings: onion and pepper omelet with bread, instant coffee, tea, juice.

So, after my initial experience with checking out a few days earlier, i figured i could be smarter and check out the afternoon before instead of the morning of. Everything went smoothly. That is, until an hour or two later when i got a knock on my door. To this day, i don't really understand why it was so complicated to figure out what i owed (should be just what I'm quoted on Booking.com, right? ) but I was told I underpaid so i just went ahead a forked over 4,000 more for my two nights. I didn't even bother to try to figure it out this time. however, this time, 4,000 was much better than the previous time when i was expected to pay over 10,000 more than what was quoted on Booking.com.

As a whole, the staff was excellent; so kind and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. And the air conditioner: as someone who didn't realize how poorly I do in heat and humidity, the powerful and cold air conditioner saved my sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was also excellent! Great pressure and there's hot water available too! Breakfast is included if you reserve via Booking.com. Onion and pepper omelet with bread. Sometimes a croissant. Instant coffee, tea, and juice.

The morning I was checking out, it took over 45 minutes to check out because there was an issue with what my final bill was supposed to be. One person who i didn't deal with until that morning, insisted that I owed above and beyond what I was quoted on Booking.com. His calculations made no sense to me. It was extremely frustrating because I needed to make sure I was on time for the bus. There was quite a bit of debate between myself and the one staffer. I had an excellent time until this point. Also, it was difficult to find the hotel. Google Maps took me to a farm. I recommend the hotel give GPS location for guests to enter for navigation.

I am always far from enthusiastic but this place really impressed me. The staff was very nice and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning. The location of the hotel is also very good not far from the city center. And all this for a really good price. I would have loved to stay here longer, but I didn't come to Benin to spend time in a hotel.

An empty and not cheap restaurant that was open only for me with a poor selection of dishes.

Very nice location and friendly staff. The chef of the restaurant, Mr. Cedrick, is really a high level chef!

The staff try to scam us several times. They lie a lot from the begining . The refrigetator was not working, we told them but they didnt do anything. We were without water several times.
