One of the managers approached our dinner table one evening and spent 30 minutes preaching to us about LGBTQ issues and told our child he should stop writing fiction. He was a religious fanatic and was forcing his views on us. Very awkward and unprofessional. We only had 2 dinners with our best friends during our stay and he compromised half of one of our evenings together.

The room in the Lamu buildings section was nice. We had originally been put in a beach side upstairs room which was in poor condition very noisy and next to the children's play area. The first night we got little sleep and asked to be moved the next day. Once we moved the rest of our stay was great. All the staff were excellent - always helpful and friendly The quiet pool was first class.

This is my second time at the hotel and I am happy that this time food/drinks were excellent all throughout, very attentive staff and good water sports.

The stuff we're very helpful which allowed for proper utilization of the facilities and services available and enjoyed my stay.

The resort could be a little bit more Muslim friendly; a better way to clean up in the washrooms and maybe prayer mats for muslim guests with a compass to identify Kiblah.

We loved the traditional style with the white washed buildings underneath cool makuti high roofs. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Always attentive to everyone’s needs and ready to help. The buffet style meals were excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The location opposite Turtle Island directly on the beautiful white beach is perfect. A visit to the Watamu Marine Park is a must. The variety of gorgeous marine life is a feast for the eyes.

The pools are beautiful. The drinks and food menu is diverse. The rooms are clean and comfortable with functioning AC and a ceiling fan. The front desk was very accommodating with a late check out.

Many of the dining staff were inexperienced. A large majority were on work experience and this meant there was variance in the service offered. The WiFi does not reach the rooms. Despite asking for it to be checked numerous times, the reception did not report back on the issue.

Location, food, service from staff - just fantastic!

All was great. I even got a free upgrade - super much appreciated.

Staff were wonderfully attentive , room very clean, grounds beautiful, clean swimming pool and wonderful location right on the beach. Very helpful staff and very child friendly. We would definitely consider returning.
