Room was spacious. Very comfortable king size bed. Very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, and they offer to make scrambled eggs, which is not that usual in Uruguay. Complimentary coffee available throughout the day. Communal areas are pleasant and comfortable to relax in, overall the hotel decor is lovely. Good location, Carmelo is small so everything is walking distance in the town, with many wineries a very short drive or taxi ride away.

Heater in our room made a lot of noise. Shower has a curtain instead of a glass door/screen, which can lead to water on the floor (in our case it was minor flooding the first time we used it!). Not an issue as such, but for a superior room we had hoped for a view of the river, as it was low season and not that busy.

The lobby and all common parts were beautiful, and the bedrooms well decorated (all different) and relatively spacious. Our bedroom has a jacuzzi tub but alas we did not have time to use it. Staff was nice. You need to ask for eggs on your own. The rest is basic besides a large choice of fruits. A good address.

Some of the wall sockets where lose for the phone charger and one wall socket was lose in the wall and can be removed when pulling on the cord.

The unique decor and furnishings. Beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. Very nice breakfast with a lovely fruit salad and some delicious pastry options.

Website said rooms have balconies, but not all rooms do. Would've been nice to have option to eat breakfast outside.

It is very well maintained, a very quiet place in front of the river and every detail in the decoration is just beautiful.

Non-spanish speakers might find communicating with staff challenging.

I loved the design of the hotel, the rooms are big and comfortable. Good location and a easy walk to central. Breakfast was very good.

Beautiful outlook and worth paying little more for the river view.
