The room is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. I was given a seaview room. It was heavenly. The view was just stunning. My friend had food poisoning while staying there (nor from their food). One staff, I forgot her name, but she wore glasses and is very fair, was very hepful. She was one of the reception people. She helped get medication for my friend. Very kind of her. Also, a reptile came into our room and their staff took the trouble to chase away the animal promptly.
The menu at the restaurant is rather limited for this type of quality resort. They don't even have pizza! The breakfast menu was also quite limited. No fresh juices. There were also stray dogs that goes everywhere. Even at the restaurants and lobby. This is not hygienic for a resort like this.

+ staying at an island like this was an amazing experience, also a beautiful view on Mt Kinabalu + Excellent staff + Restaurant was good, both a la carte and the breakfast + Comfortable big bed, spacious bedroom + Free boat return transfer
- Multiple bathrooms were shown on the pictures, we had one that looked less good and could really do with some renovation - Public toilets and showers were pretty old and dirty - There were some cows from the village walking on the resort, which I didn’t mind but they left poop and it wasn’t cleaned by the staff

We stayed in a premium chalet which was gorgeous, very spacious and secure. The location and beach were both amazing. There are a wide range of activities that you can engage in, such as snorkelling and kayaking which are both complimentary, among others that are either complimentary or come at a small surcharge. The food was very good in the restaurant, the staff were all super friendly and helpful! We didn't go for the full board, just breakfast and we were glad we did as the al a carte menu was really good and really affordable. Unless you are used to the local cuisine I'd recommend the same.
We got the land transfer organised by Sutera from KK, we were disappointed to have to wait another hour at the jetty to get the boat over. Time keeping in general could have been better for the transport, however, it's a small issue that didn't take away from our stay.

Ocean view. Relaxed atmosphere. Lots of activities - attending the snorkelling session in the morning was fantastic, where you get taken off the island and get to explore the live colourful coral and shoals of fish. I’d read previous reviews about plastic littering the island but it was very clear the resort were doing as much as they could to reduce this and the staff were picking up the plastic whenever they saw it. The staff were great on the trips and in the resort, nothing was too much of an ask and they always went the extra mile.
Nothing.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you for the manager Thomas, the reception Romeo, the diver Naznur, and the chef, waitresses, housekeepers. Well activities arrangements, beautiful location.
Jetty near Kota Belud is a bit far, no shuttle service from Kota Kinabalu.

We stayed 3D2N in Sutera Mantanani. Our package include transfers and full board. Depart from Magellan at 7:30 am sharp. since there were only 8 of us, a van was provided. the boat transfer from Rampayan were very choppy. Coincide with Tonga volcano eruption. The island was beautiful with turquoise blue water. White sandy beach with own jetty very near to the resort. The resort was quiet and peaceful despite having moderate no of guests. We stayed at Room No 3 facing Mt Kinabalu in the distance. It's also near the lobby and the cafeteria. Bed was comfy and room was large. A balcony to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. The winner for me was the food. Every meal from breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner were awesome. Limited activity which include, ATV ride, kayaking and snorkeling. Try to join the snorkeling group on the day of your arrival. The trip depart at 2pm. We were brought to protected lagoon in Mantanani Kecil as sea were too choppy to go to more wind exposed Lingus Island. Will definitely come back after visiting Bahamas, Bora Bora,
The beaches beyond the resort were full of drift woods and plastic garbage from the mainland.

We stayed at premium chalet and loved it. Sea water color was Incredible and clean only around lodge property but when we walked to village was so dirty full of plastics around the beach. It was only downside of the Mantanani island. Other than that clear crystal water, snorkeling was amazing
Poor selection of breakfast and food at restauran

The food was great.
The schedule that delay because of the tourist coming late to the jetty Mantanani & snorkling briefing. Should not wait for them because the boat arrive late for check in & we dont have enough time to kayaking. The property should do a penalty for the late comers. Others guest make an effort to come early.

The rooms are new , comfortable and beautiful. Stay is relaxing. Food is only asian meals (rice rice rice) and every dat about the same, but tasteful. However, they could include some western options for breakfast: some jam, pancakes, omelettes and some fresh fruit would make it much better for non-asians.
The beach was full of tree-trunks as well as quite some trash. So that does not look like the pictures. Furthermore, the boat trip to the island and the activities there are more or less organized as a school-trip. Malaysians really like that way of doing trips and activities, but for me it felt a bit too much childish. Dont expect too much from ATV rent: you can drive on a 20×10m area for a few minutes: the purpose is solely to take pictures for your instagram.... not for exploring the island.

No Complaint
As it was first time in the island , didn’t know the salty sea water piping in the room. I was shocked to drink my hot coffee of salty seawater. They should have put up the notice in the room, so the guests will avoid the treated sea water for drinking as some people may have allergy to the saltiness .
