The owner gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the kitchen, dining room and facilities when we first arrived. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The area is quiet and safe. We had the basic amenities that we needed. The breakfast was good - freshly-made pancakes and eggs, with juice and coffee were available early. She also had some items such as bagels and cream cheese. The bathroom was very clean and the towels were absorbent.

The water in the shower was not very hot, but it was adequate. Otherwise, everything was very good.

The host and hostess were kind, friendly, helpful, outgoing and we were treated with consideration and respect. A delightful experience experience.

The trails in the woods, the teepee in the back, the porch and proximity to mukluk land. That a was one of a kind experience, we spent four hours there !! A Christian youth group presented puppet shows, there was a bouncy house. We were awestruck by all of the relics of Alaska history. A walking history lesson.

Great location for a stop en-route between Fairbanks and Beaver Creek, Yukon. Lovely log home with large kitchen, nice bedrooms and bathroom. I would give it a higher rating but our twin beds were not comfortable and we did not sleep well. Wish we had been told more blanks were available in hallway. Good shower. Great breakfast items provided! Not far from Fast Eddie's for dinner.

Hard twin beds, not told about extra blankets available so it was a bit chilly. Not sure bedding was clean?

It was clean and comfortable. We had the twin room, was doable for one night , coming from Anchorage to Whitehorse. Quaint tidy property, out of town , in a peaceful setting . Hosts were very pleasant and helpful

Room was very hot ..had to sleep with fan on high and windows open All rooms need air conditioning Bathroom was separate from the room , for our use solely again doable for one night.Had to go across the corridor to use it Dishwasher needs a clean and disinfecting..has an awful smell when opened to put our dishes in .

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the property is spotless and comfortable. This is a real home with multiple lovely rooms and a great kitchen where we could make ourselves at home. The breakfast was amazing and we really enjoyed getting to know the other guests over breakfast and having a great conversation with the host. What a great experience and perfect place to stay after a long hard drive! So quiet and comfortable!

The property was what I love, in conjecture with the Alaska wild. I would recommend this B&B to everyone. The bed was comfortable and the room large. Laura even moved me from upstairs to a downstairs room. There was plenty for breakfast, like cereal, bagels, coffees of different kinds, as well as different teas. The coffee was ready in the morning as a kettle of hot water for your convenience. Laura was very friendly and I am sure anyone would love staying there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Hyde Away Inn, a boarding house accommodation in the good old-fashioned style. The house is set in a clearing with forest all around, and no light pollution! Cary was standing in for the owners who were away on vacation. She did a super job and was accommodating, engaged, and helpful. She introduced us to the “My Aurora” app which I installed on my cell phone. That night I woke at 1, 2, 3, and 4 a.m. to check the app for the odds of seeing the Northern Lights. At 4 a.m. I was rewarded with my first ever Northern Lights experience: WONDERFUL!!! Cary cooked a fantastic hot breakfast the next morning. Many thanks for a memorable stay! A stop by the tourist office to chat with the kind and friendly rangers is highly recommended.

Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Laura is an excellent host who looks into the detail needs of the guests, e.g. we needed more heating in the room as we are not accustom to the cold weather in Alaska, she provided a additional heater in our room. We arrived late at night and she stayed up to ensure that we were comfortable with our room.

The signage and welcome letter were nice. We were greeted by the caretaker after we settled into our room. A Comfy bed and a private bathroom suited our needs. The attached window photo was taken at 3:30am in May. I appreciated the blackout curtains in the room.

The unfortunate thing is our food package was not as expected. The caretake explained we would receive the winter breakfast food package which consisted of cold cereal, granola bars, bottled OJ, coffee, tea, and instant oatmeal. The famous breakfast I read on reviews was considered the Spring/Summer food package. I was disappointed because the foods offered is what we've been eating on the road.

Location was a little off the beaton path. Had to remove shoes because driveway and yard was muddy,very muddy.

Communal breakfast but ok. Not what I expected for the cost listed as serving a fully cooked breakfast. Half bag of bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, jelly, toast and coffee. Serve yourself. No one knew how to.make more coffee so we went on our way to find coffee and hot breakfast.
