This property is stunning and spotless, and the attention to detail is way above what you would normally expect in Laos. I wasn’t surprised when I heard it was owned and run by a Swiss man and his Laotian wife. Initially we disappointed to have a shared bathroom, however they are big and spacious and a team of cleaners clean them every hour! the rooms are lovely, there is a external decking area overlooking the river they called the lounge to chill and have drinks before dinner in an equally lovely restaurant that serves incredible food!! We had booked for one night but immediately booked a second night and had G & T before a beautiful meal. if you are a traveller looking to do it cheap this is not the place for you. Although not hugely expensive, the food and drink is more expensive than normal, but you are paying for quality and class. So if you do book here, don’t moan about the prices

The location is wonderful! The staff fantastic! After a long long journey involving a broken down bus, I was dropped off on the main road about 1k walk from the resort feeling incredibly hot and flustered. A slow stroll through the rice paddies overlooked by the limestone mountains led me to a paradise location on the riverside, with luscious gardens and where the welcome was so friendly and efficient that I instantly forgot my horrendous travel experience. A few days of pure relaxation - walking the local area, kayaking on the river, visiting Kong Lor cave - and just chilling on the balcony of my garden bungalow and watching the sunset from the resort restaurant/balcony. After my first night I was the only guest and I was incredibly impressed by the service that remained from the cleaning of the communal areas/restaurant facilities and the attentiveness of the manager. Everything I needed was catered for, a great experience, thank you!

The accommodation was a bit like heaven on earth again. The bungalows are beautifully nestled in a palm grove right on the Nam Hinboun River. The sanitary facilities are absolutely clean and are obviously cleaned frequently during the day. In addition to the restaurant terrace, there is also a lounge terrace where you can relax and admire the sunset. The staff are incredibly friendly and read almost every wish from your lips. You can book and start almost all tours directly from here or paddle your kayak on the river all by yourself. I spent three nights here, relaxing and unwinding and would certainly have liked to stay longer.

Location and setting is beautiful. Comfortable bed. Outdoor setting at the bungalow. Nice food in the restaurant. Shared bathroom are very well kept and cleaned frequently. We were lucky that everyone followed the rules and was quit at 22.00pm but walls are very thin and you will even hear your neighbors whispering.

Prices for drinks and food is a bit higher than normal. Especially the small beer can. Early morning at 6.30am our neighbor was playing music on his small guitar. Since we had to get up early I didn’t bother saying anything but that was not respectful. People should be quit at that time early morning.

Set in a great location in a very natural setting, a bit downstream of the main river, The riverside villas are nice and comfortable. Good food and sitting areas. Lovely place when you stay in the River view Bungalows.

The Bungalows with Garden View do not come with an attached or private bathroom. The Bungalows with Garden View offer shared bathrooms a short walk away, what at night or morning can be a bit of a hassle. For the size of the huts with no private bathroom attached, the price is on the upper range.

I stayed in a riverview bungalow. It was great. Nice room, with all the comforts, good selection in the minibar, although I drink and eat to much this way. A very good breakfast, with fruit salad, good cappuccino and homemade bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although I had a scooter and could have gone on my own, the river trip to the cave added to the experience. The whole place is very spacious and makes you feel you are staying at the edge of a jungle.

Best place we have stayed in Laos! Wonderful staff, and beautiful setting. Everything has been done so nicely. The food was also very good. Wish we had booked for longer. We had a garden room with a shared bathroom and it was great value for money.

The ONLY issue was our evening was somewhat ruined by very loud music for several hours. It did stop just after 10pm but as we were very tired from the Thakhek Loop we would have preferred some peace and quiet. Not the hotels fault though as this was a Neighbor.

The atmosphere is tooooo good. Amazing location. All facilities are well maintained and clean. It's a shared restroom and shower. So, it might not for everyone. But they are very clean and I never need to wait the queue, eventhough it's fully booked that day. Our cabin is small, but every details is practical. They provide many hooks in the wall, little shelf. Wall is made by nature material, so please keep quiet, not to disturb the neighbours. Staff is helpful. Breakfast is huge. Bread is amazing.

Overall wonderful place! Gorgeous location by the river, surrounded by lush vegetation and flowers. We stayed in one of the bungalows with garden-view, fan (as opposed to a/c) and shared bathroom. The room was a bit small, but rustic chic and comfortable. The shared bathrooms were extremely clean. We loved the breakfast and dinner that we had at the restaurant. There is an option to book a water taxi from the resort to the Konglor cave - the 40 minute boat ride up the river was in itself a wonderful experience. Finally, the staff was lovely, super helpful and respectful. Would 100% stay here again!

There wasn't a lot of space in the bungalow to put our bags down, but this type of bungalow with shared bathrooms are likely to appeal to backpackers like us, who probably don't need a ton of space anyway!

Comfortable bungalow with a beautiful river view. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The boat ride to Konglor was fun & we enjoyed taking the kayaks out. Food was good with lots of choice for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and suggested things for us to do.

I thought the river view cabin was expensive. We liked it but if I stayed again I would have the bungalow without a view as it was much better value. A hammock on each balcony would be a very welcome addition!
