Among the many B&Bs to choose from, only a select few are superior and worth recommending. This B&B “La Casa in Pietra” is among the top percentile, deserving a most excellent review and a high recommendation. Santa Caterina Villarmosa may be off the well-beaten path but it is no pit stop on the racetrack to somewhere else. You can spend one night or several nights here exploring this commune and if you choose to visit then you need a great place to stay. The stone house offers an understated elegance to this artistic home away from home. Here is a smart and creative atmosphere enhanced by the many pieces of art and crafts on display. Like professional dancers, this facility expresses movements of grace and practice. It is super clean, leaving nothing to chance. The upstairs bedroom has plenty of places to hang the clothing, the bathroom was spotless and efficient, high-quality sheets were provided on a comfortable mattress, window glass was bright and clean, and a silent air conditioning unit kept things nice and cool when needed. Downstairs offers very relaxing fine-quality furnishings, a dedicated conversation area of divans, and a beautiful table and chairs for dining. The kitchen cabinetry is well-made in a beautiful rustic style. Many if not all the featured woodwork was built by the owner. Plus, there is a relaxing garden with fountain, plants, and shade tree with plenty of space welcoming all guests. The lighting is atmospheric both outside and inside. We really felt this to be like home. Not to be missed was the breakfast, included. So many tasty treats were offered, the delights were too numerous to list. Needless to say, the coffee was fantastic. The location is perfect, at the entrance edge of the village, on a safe and wide street, across from a park and a short walk to the fruit and vegetable stand on the other side of the park.

Nothing to dislike.

We were welcomed into Claudio and Giuseppina's home. Their energy is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and delicious coffee. Rooms cleaned daily. We were rewarded with the beautiful country drive, off the beaten path, to arrive where tourists are warmly welcomed. We enjoyed interacting with their family and friends together with other guests. The local villagers were so kind. One particular instance, pointing out patiently we were driving up a one way street the wrong way!

Nothing could have been better. We will remember fondly our time with Giuseppina & Claudio.

The accommodation was exceptional, and the hosts were extraordinarily considerate, particularly with our elderly in-laws in mind. They suggested alternative accommodations in another building to eliminate the need for stairs for my father-in-law. The rooms were large and tranquil, equipped with air conditioning, and the beds were cozy. The local breakfast selection was extensive, featuring outstanding croissants and bread, as well as fresh fruit, which was available daily.

Nothing.

Without question, this was the best B&B that we have ever stayed at. The owners were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. It felt as though we were immediately accepted as family members. The breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were great. Parking is immediately outside of the premises. Facilities in the village/town are all accessible close to the B&B. All in all, this was a most enjoyable stay.

Leaving.

The hosts were kind and welcoming, the room was charming, the bed was very comfortable with an extra blanket provided, the bathroom was nice with plenty of extra toilet paper, we were able to get subtitles or change the language on the TV, and we felt very safe here. We really loved staying here, we will remember our brief stay warmly and fondly for many years to come. Thank you Pina and Claudio!

The owners that are running the BNB. They bend over backwards to please you. Their breakfasts are very good..

Internet connections were somewhat difficult to receive on the top floor. And the TV with 200 different possible channels only had one language available. Of course that was Italian.

The B&B was beautiful. The staff Pina and Claudio were wonderful and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was more then we expected and fantastic. They made us scambled eggs even though they had provided plenty other choices. Will definitely come back when visiting my family again.

That we had to leave.

Pima and Claudio were exceptional hosts. They are worth the trip across the country with all its winding roads. (They only speak Italian for those who care!). They are warm, generous and passionate about everything. A truly Sicilian welcome.

Excellent breakfast and supernice staff and owner! The common room is very spacey and has a homey feeling, very nice. The little garden in the back is lovley and three sweet cats gives the place a extra good feeling. The location of the B&B is perfect, you can reach a lot of Sightseeing spots within one hour by car. And even Villarmosa with its beautifull churches and a great restaurant Trattoria La Veccia Lanterna where Maria cooks excellent food is very worth a visit. The rooms are nice and the cleaning is perfect.

We had two rooms for our family and one was perfect, the other had only a wooden sliding door to the built in the room bathroom which made a loud rattling sound when you opened it. I really like a real door to the bathroom, but thats just me🙂 it was a really nice place otherwise.

This small bed and breakfast was excellent. Pina and Claudio are wonderful hosts. Fantastic breakfast in the morning and Pina would ask each day what you wanted the next morning.

Everything was perfect.
