Clean and quiet

It’s not the property.We check in at 930 pm traveling the entire day from another country, they gave us the room on the highest floor which is 2nd floor & all the way to the end of the hallway and NO ELEVATOR 😭. We have to drag our 4 luggages upstairs. The next day a gentleman check in and his room was on the first floor and he only has 1 Carry on luggage. I guess my point is with our situation having a lot of luggages and my husband is not steady on his feet, they should’ve thought of our safety in carrying our suitcase upstairs and put us in the lower level of the hotel to prevent any accidents or fall.

Nicely situated slightly away from town on a hill, charming old building and the restaurant terrace overlooks green fields. The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated in an old-fashioned style, bathroom was modern and big. The staff was friendly. The free parking was big and plenty of spots available.

Spa facilities are not included in the room rate (this was also clearly communicated upfront) which negatively impacts the price/value ratio of the room rate. We were attending a wedding in the area and needed to check in early to get ready - it was only possible to check in 30 min before the official time, so keep this in mind for your planning.

This hotel was very convenient for the motorway and an overnight stop on a long journey. Very amenable staff and good food for dinner and breakfast. Quiet room overnight and comfortable bed was very much appreciated when tired. Would definitely use again if passing through this area.

Easy to get too, ample parking, friendly staff, great food, clean rooms, breakfast included, free water, fair price and a nice location, with playground and a restaurant. I did not need an elevator, but some ppl may need that. My bed had a really squeaky mattress. Didn't sleep well, but the sleep sheep sweets were a cute touch 🙂 There would have been a sauna too, but it was a warm day, did not try out. Came here for an event at Kuhrettung Rhein Berg and would certainly stay here again. Way into Cologne seems easy too.

Mattress, everything else was more than fair for what I paid.

I've used this hotel many times as a one night stopover on my travels across Europe. It is perfectly located just minutes from the motorway. The added bonus is the restaurant serving local dishes. It is a family run hotel and the welcome is always warm. The room is clean, the bathroom a bit small but perfectly functionable. The parking is always available.

Location was good. Stunning looking building and grounds. Shower was good and powerful. Loads of shops and take seats close by

A little dated. Breakfast wasn’t the best. The English Breakfast tea tasted floral. Restaurant menu had nothing that I fancied.

We stayed here as a family of 6 adults and 2 children staying in 3 rooms. The Hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The staff spoke good english and with our limited German, we had no problem with making our wishes understood.

Very friendly, family fun hotel. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Didn’t mind the tantrums at breakfast time and made every effort to keep our over-tired 1 year old content. Nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel completely welcome! X

The location is perfect as it is close to the motorway which after a full day's driving is very convenient. The added plus of this hotel is a good restaurant and being able to have an early breakfast for the onward journey. I've been coming to this place for 15 years and have never been disappointed. The owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly. A perfect stopover place.

Had to pay double the animal price because I had a dog and a cat with me. 25 eur for one night is too much
