What a lovely find. A hidden gem!! (Literally- as we had a little difficulty finding it - the B&B sign is understated, & its just inside the old town where you can’t drive without a permit - so we walked right past it without noticing the sign 🤦‍♀️ oops. The B&B is exactly as pictured on their listing. Clean, modern & so cool with the exposed 15th century (I think) walls. The host Antonietta was lovely. Capaccio is up on the hill about 15 min drive from Paestum - the archeological site & museum (near Paestum were also super interesting. It was a hidden hem kind of a day - We then had an amazing dinner in Capaccio at Ex Novo - which I’ll do a separate review of. The region was a refreshing break from the busy Amalfi coast, which we found super busy even in the shoulder season (end of October).

I would guess that most people who visit this part of Italy are visiting Paestum to see the ruins, and there are plenty of places to stay in Paestum. However, up just a few kilometers into the hills is the small town of Capaccio where we found this great little bed and breakfast. L'Orologio (which means "clock" in Italian) is just beneath the big town clock and it has four modern, clean rooms. (The room numbers are 3, 6, 9, and 12 - get it?) The bathroom was modern and spotless, and the two rooms we rented both had balconies. The owners were very responsive. One of our party wasn't feeling well and the owner was able to direct us to a local store for medicine, and we were also able to use the service kitchen to heat up some soup. It was very helpful.

Although parking is free, it's a bit of an uphill walk from the public parking lot to the B & B. I would recommend dropping your luggage at the B & B before parking.

Situated in the clock tower of the historic centre of Capaccio, this small B&B provided the perfect location and setting for visiting family. It’s walking distance to ‘The Gardens’ where you will find the meeting place of the locals and some nice bars and restaurants. Also, round the corner from one of the most well regarded pizzeria’s in the region, if not the country

Nicely renovated space with modern features in a historical building. Convenient to everything in the village including availability of parking nearby. Host ver accommodating and informative. Room was very dark and quiet for sleeping. Cleanliness was spotless.

The BnB is right under a bell tower, it is so well-built that you hardly hear the bells but if you are very sensitive to the sound you will hear them every 15 minutes.

Beautiful, modern, spacious accommodation.

Specific parking locations in relationship to the property since it is located in a restricted area.

Host was amazing, very accommodating and even prepared a small travelling breakfast for me as I Was leaving early the next day.
