This hotel is exceptional, it has the feeling of previous grandeur, it’s a lovely place to stay, the two members of staff we met were great, both English speaking ,friendly and helpful. We were able to park our motorcycle in the garage too. There’s an Italian restaurant around the corner and a bar adjacent to the hotel, unfortunately we arrived a little late in the evening and didn’t have enough time to explore the town.

Nothing to dislike.

We particularly appreciated the warm and professional welcome from the person at the reception, smiling and well-being, as well as the quality of the breakfast, which was both tasty and hearty. We would also like to stress the friendliness and availability of the service staff during breakfast. I really appreciate this vintage look, you have to keep it, it gives an appreciable charm. Highly recommend this establishment.

We were on a long and tiring 3 day driving journey and en route we spontaneously booked Grandhotel Garni for our overnight stay. Having had a rather disappointing stop-over the night before somewhere in Romania, we were hoping for a more charming and restful experience in Jihlava. Before we even arrived, there were already some extremely pleasant and forthcoming email exchanges with Milan, the Concierge. Upon arrival, he was exceptionally friendly and helpful, advising us on parking, the local surroundings and restaurant recommendations. We went to eat in what he called his favourite local restaurant and we had a fantastic evening with excellent food and local drinks. Milan's forthcoming helpfulness coupled with his dry and cheeky sense of humour really made this stay very special and one to positively remember. On top of this, the hotel itself had a really funky atmosphere of old style charm and impressive design features. The light fittings in particular were quite spectacular. The room was of a good size, nicely furnished, clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with a fine selection to cater for all tastes. All in all, excellent value for money, great location, and a memorably positive experience. Thank you dear Milan and all your colleagues who made our stay so very special.

we are vegans, of course, there were no real vegan options but we had very nice bread, we took marmalade and fruits. for non-vegans really excellent breakfast, very nice and helpful staff there, too.

there was only one minor issue with the mixer tap in the shower which fell off but we reported this and we expect this to be taken care of. other than this it was a very nice stay.

Helpful staff, allowed to park up early in the small garage that is part of the hotel for a cost. Room cosy with good WiFi.. Good breakfast with very helpful waitress ... Good location only a min or so walk from the centre...

People above making noise but not hotel fault... people parking to prevent easy exit from hotel on street... again not hotel fault... A kettle in the room would be nice with tea/ coffee and milk

Good breakfast, funny and talkful staff beautiful city centre I like to visit this town more times. Silence in night what I like so much. Fantastic pub close to hotel and you are really happy when you back to hotel.

Don't have free parking, on the street can park only peoples who live in this city that's sad. Little small rooms and bed have too hard mattress.

It's at the center of the city, in a nice street. Temperature was fine and the bed, even if not too new, was acceptable. Staff very friendly. Shower also good. For me it was enough this place because i came to visit some friends living very close.

It's an old hotel that may need to be remade. The whole city looks quiet and old, and so does the hotel. It seems that it has it's best moments on the 1980's and 90's. Buffet breakfast a bit poor compared with other hotels.

A Great hotel with excellent staff. A city well worth a look. It has some really interesting buildings and history. Our room was well finished and had everything we needed. Parking is around the back in a private garage. A must Visit town if your in the Czech Republic.

Nothing to do with the hotel,but walking back at night the street lights were not working.

Location, parking possibility in a garage, newly renovated rooms, good beds, very clean, basic breakfast but with options to order, kind receptionists and other staff, lift

A bit socialistic look inspite recent renovations.

The woman on the reception was on her own but managed everything well. The room are small but clean. The location is right next to the main square. There is a large garage in the same building. Breakfast was basic but nice.

Wifi did not work but it was about to be repaired. Beds are really noisy. The road in front of the hotel was surprisingly noisy for such a small town, even on a Saturday night. But I have stayed in the hotel before and Jihlava is a good overnight stopping location for us.
