The property is beautiful, and the room that we had was very nice. It is an oasis just outside of Pucon. The parks are not far and the city is closeby. There is an amazing access to the river at the back of the property with a couple of beaches to relax and watch the rafting tours passing by. The property is highly recommended.

I think that the dinner menu should be simplified and fixed daily. This would allow for a simpler process in preparation for what essentially is a boutique hotel. No complaints, but this may help the property have a more efficient operation especially with the dinner service.

Nestled in the heart of the forest, this enchanting hotel offers convenient access to the river for leisurely strolls. The ambiance and attentive staff immediately instill a sense of tranquility and serenity upon arrival, making it difficult to depart. The warm and friendly hospitality extended by the staff provides an exceptionally welcoming experience, with personalized attention that made my husband and me feel truly valued as guest. This is the most wonderful place! Warm welcome and great staff. Great design and comfort. Wonderful dinner. A couple of steps through lovely garden and trees and you are at a little beach on the river, relax on the sunbeds provided, hear the river breaking on the rocks, some birds and watch the groups of rafting boats floating by. Magical atmosphere.

The lodge’s setting is not too far from town but feels like a world away with only the sound of the river in the background. The property is thoughtfully designed, the people are kind and welcoming and the food is simple but so nicely done. Sitting in the wood fired hot tub was the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploring this beautiful region. The owner Juan Carlos and Montserrat at reception were particularly lovely and offered many local recommendations. We were sad to leave but will be back.

Overall, we had a delightful stay. The hotel staff is amazing, so caring and professional: a special thank you to Sofi, Valeria and Diego. The food was also terrific, so much so that we had every meal at the hotel! Huge thanks to Juan Carlos. I must also add that I Loved the huge and comfy bed!

Great staff. Great bed with a great view to the woods. Quietness.

Breakfast could be a bit better given the hotel fees (eg good yogurt instead of cheap supermarket yogurt) and there’s almost no place to store luggage of hang one’s clothes in the room.

Very nice lodge in the heart of the woods and by the river. Also very well maintained building with a fireplace in the main salon, giving a true relaxing accent. Breakfast simple but very tasty and could tailor made. Experienced and ready to help staff.

The location and good

The hotel was clearly understaffed. They tried their best but at dinner they were clearly not here nor there.

Staff, room, and general common space. It was a pleasure to stay at the Rakau Lodge. Everything from the decor to architecture was great. Food was first class. Staff was friendly, helpful. Be sure to try the hot tub.

Location a bit out-of-the-way, but beautiful spot close to the river, really great property, great staff, great food, so much to do and see in the area using Rakau Lodge as our base.
