The location of the hotel is great—close to everything and easy to get around. The room itself was okay: clean and functional, though it did get a bit hot at night. Unfortunately, we had to close the windows due to dogs barking late into the night, which made it a bit stuffy.

When you look at the hotel photos, it gives the impression that you’ll have access to pools and a sauna. However, if you’re staying in the main building, your access is limited to just a hot tub. It would have been good to have this clarified beforehand.

Great location a few minutes to the chairs 17 and 7. Continental breakfast was ok - muffins, eggs, yogurts, coffee/tea and fruits, pretty enough to get the morning started. Room was fine and had all the listed amenities - microwave, fridge, wall heater. Hotel does not have many rooms, so it was pretty quiet and peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a restaurant located in the hotel.

Would be great if hotel could provide a dryer, after a rainy day it was tricky to dry our gear before the next day.

The property was clean and the staff were amazing! We lost a very expensive car key fob and couldn’t find it despite coming back to our room several times to look. The proprietors not only allowed us to do so even after checking out, when their housekeeping found it, they called us and FedExed the key to our home in LA. You can’t beat that! The owner also personally helped us bring down a very heavy cooler from our room on the third floor. That’s hospitality to the hilt! It shows kindness and how much they care about their tenants. Wonderful people!

The property is dated and the rooms are small. No elevator.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, clean, quiet, wonderful view.

Just be aware there is no elevator. We were on the third floor, which was fine for us. But if you have trouble with stairs, carrying your luggage up might be difficult. Also, be sure to drink lots of water if you are from a lower elevation. The altitude (8,000 feet) gave me a terrific headache, waking me at 3 in the morning. Water and a pain reliever helps with this.

Friendly staff, comfortable and big room, clean facilities. Location is fairly close to all major Mammoth Lakes destinations. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel but we did not make it to dinner there, so cannot comment.

Breakfast was a huge disappointment. All you get is full-sugar yoghurt and banana bread. No protein, nothing nutritious. All laid out in the reception room. See photo attached.

Staff, cleaness, location, value for money. I booked the queen room, it's very cheap comparing to other hotels given the location, but can't really take advantage of it because the lifts aren't open, would consider otherwise if I know this ahead of time.

No real breakfast, just grab-and-go type of service. The nearby lifts aren't open, so still need to drive to the main lodge to take the lifts, this devalued the location advantage greatly. So for early season stay, maybe call in advance to confirm the advantage of the location.

Excellent location close to Canyon Lodge. Can walk to the ski lifts. Be cautious of early season conditions if they exist. We had no issues but I can see how it may not be ideal if the chairs at Canyon are closed. Also hot tub was nice, rooms clean and quiet, and staff friendly.

Electrical equipment in the room was a bit questionable. Had to fight with the fridge socket to get it to work. Had to move the coffee maker around to find a socket and the heating unit was unplugged (although we did not need it). Also hot tub water seemed a bit old, maybe worth changing it.

We were a late arrival (11PM) - we called the staff while en route to Mammoth - our room key and parking pass were waiting for us at the unattended front desk, but all was good / great - no issues or problems; the first floor room was roomy, king bed was comfortable, linens and towels were soft and clean, view was really good (next morning); Good value ...

The on-site restaurant is only open for dinner - that's too bad, as the German-themed Dinner menu looks amazing1

Close proximity to Canyon lodge and chair 7! Continental ( grab and go) breakfast, onsite restaurant for dinner! Cozy room! They let you park there all day after check out so you don’t have to move your car on last ski day! They have a public restroom to use and change clothes for drive home!

Dated furniture, took awhile to get warm water!

Great character with lovely views. We went in summer, looks like a great location is skiing in winter. A little bit of the Alps in the USA. 20-30 min walk to restaurants and dinner available at the hotel with nice menu if you are a meat eater. Rooms a little dated but clean with fridge. Take away breakfast was better than none, nice cake.

Would have liked more breakfast given the hotel does have a restaurant.
