First the facility is excellent. It's brand new and well thought and build. They even have outdoor hot tub and sauna. They also have a kitchen. The room is clean, specious and very comfortable. Location is great, it's not in the middle of the town which would avoid noise but close enough to reach supermarket and many restaurants by foot. Nevertheless, the best part is the staff there. Philipe is knowledgeable, courteous and happy to help out. Best of all, Philipe could communicate in fluent English which really helped me in every direction. I really appreciate that.
There really isn't anything I don't like about Hotel Bacaris. So far the best money spent during my stay in Chile.

The hotel was brand new, having opened only a couple of months before. It doesn't look like much from the front but it is much nicer when you walk out back to the rooms. The rooms were big enough, though could have done with one less bed to allow more room for luggage. There's a convenient mud room for removing wet clothes and boots, and a common kitchen area for guest use. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had nice products but the water could have been a little warmer. The new manager, who had started a day before, was easy to communicate and gave us lots of great tips about the area. We had a great deal for the end of season and would stay there again if in the area.
Shower could have been warmer. Breakfast wasn't included and seemed expensive for what it was, but there was complimentary coffee. There seemed to be a lot of staff around for so few guests at the time we were there, and they were often spread across the common living area of the hotel, so it made it a little uncomfortable to relax in front of the fire or play a game as we felt like we were intruding on their space.

Great hospitality! The owner (Felipe) was kind and super helpful. He speaks good English which was helpful. I was only in Tranquillo for a night before going to Guadal for a backpacking trip. I didn't feel like doing anything touristy and so Felipe gave me some amazing local recommendations. He suggested a swimming hole pretty close to the hotel that not a lot of people knew about. I also enjoyed chatting to him in general about traveling in South America. And the property was clean with great hot water and rooms. A little bit on the pricier side, but great if you want a comfortable room for yourself or your family for a night.

The hotel is towards the back of the small town so quiet (but no lake view consequently). It is newly built with modern rooms. Very comfortable large double bed, good heating system, spacious bathroom with great shower and plentiful hot water. Staff were nice and friendly and we managed to communicate despite our lack of Spanish. There is an excellent kitchen facility which you can use to cook for yourself, and it includes all the necessary implements you will need for simple food. We would certainly stay here again.
It is a small matter, but the rooms aren’t very well sound insulated so you can hear the people in the rooms around you a little.

We LOVED our stay at Hotel Bacaris, and it would be difficult to attribute it to one single reason. The place is super modern (just opened this January) and clean - in fact, it has the best shower we’ve seen in over 2 weeks in Chile (with waterfall/rain attachment, what a dream!); bed is huge and very comfy; room is well-heated (first time I slept without a hot water bottle in a while) and the host is a delight - very friendly and helpful. We genuinely considered staying longer but the schedule didn’t allow it. All in all, could highly recommend!

A new hotel in Puerto Tranquiilo. Very well presented and modern big bathroom facilities.Parking was free. The host is very friendly, polite and helpful with information on what to do on our free day as our planned excursion was cancelled. Breakfast was quite adequate. There was a common area where you could have a cuppa or prepare yourself a meal if you wanted. Wifi was very good.
Having to throw toilet paper into a tiny bin. Good to have another bin in the room to throw away the rubbish.

We had a short stay at the Hotel Bacaris as we weree booked for a San Raphael Glacier trip the following morning with Nomade Experiences. Philipe and the staff at Hotel Bacaris were gracious hosts and we would have liked staying there for one more night when we returned from Mallin Colorado but they are booked. They have a common kitchen area that is useful for early morning use. Clean and basic with a small but useful refrigerator.
More time at the hotel.

First of all a shout out for the best shower for weeks! After several hilariously terrible shower situations traveling north through Patagonia, the shower and bathroom here were a dream. Hot, strong water and spotlessly clean. This hotel works so well. There’s a shared kitchen for tea and lunch-making and the breakfast is substantial. Felipe who checked us in was very friendly and the whole experience was good.
No complaints at all!

Very nice, comfortable rooms. They had a well equipped kitchen to cook in as well. Staff were friendly. The power went out (in the town) and knocked out the heaters and the staff were prompt at coming around to check they’d come back on.
Because I’d booked through booking.com breakfast wasn’t included which seems crazy considering the very high price per night of this hotel.

Great clean room with sufficient places to sit and to store gear/clothing. Quiet with a good breakfast and great staff. Felipe was very helpful and attentive. A couple of blocks off the Carretera Austral which avoids traffic and noise, but, easy walks to just about anywhere in town.
