Large, spacious room. Very comfortable beds ("all new beds" says owner Danny). Clean, great value compared to more expensive chain hotels. Only a single floor of rooms, so nobody stomping around above you all night. Park right in front of your door, NO steps. Located right off I-70, with very close dining options. This is a real "Mom & Pop" family owned and ran motel. Great for a single night or multiple nights stay (large size mini fridge, and microwave). And, Danny maintains one of the plushest motel lawns you will see, except maybe at a golf resort. I have stayed here twice (once solo, and this time with my wife) and will again the next time we are in Burlington.

Is the Chaparral perfect? No, especially if you are used to staying at Hiltons (nothing against Hiltons) but good luck finding a better value for any interstate motel as comfortable, convenient , and friendly as I have found this one. Even my "discerning" wife liked it, and believe me, that says it all....

My spouse and I, like a lot of travelers, usually stay at a 'hotel chain', but we also enjoy the somewhat older motels, especially if the owner/manager obviously cares for the property and keeps it up-to-date and clean. While looking for a hotel in Burlington, CO, I noticed the Chaparral Motor Inn, looked a little closer, and noticed the great reviews, with most reviewers commenting on how clean it was and how friendly staff was. We made the decision to book, and wow, the reviews were correct! The room was very clean, and, most importantly, everything worked. New lamps and fixtures are all LED, and contain USB charging ports and 120-volt plug-ins. A pet peeve of mine (don't laugh) are the 'squatter" toilets most hotels seem hell-bent on using. I hate those! But Chaparral Motor Inn had regular-height toilets, yay! And they had something I hadn't seen before, a very large mirror in the bathroom area that has LED lighting all the way around it, making it great for me to shave, and my wife to put on makeup. One other item I really liked is the window shade, a pull-down total window cover that does a great job of keeping the morning sun out. And, when deployed, it becomes a mural. THAT impressed me! The staff was VERY friendly and obviously proud of their motel. Bed was perfect. In summary, we'd stay here anytime. Room rate was very reasonable, too. Oh, and a hot breakfast was provided. A bit limited, but a surprise nonetheless.

Don't let the outside appearance turn you away! This family is living the American dream of being entrepreneurs. They have already done a lot of work with new roofing and insulation. Great comfortable beds & bedding. Looks like new TV's and carpet. Next is replacing the exterior doors which are old and faded and repainting the rooms. Ours was an excellent room and we enjoyed our 3 night stay while also visiting family on a holiday (July 4th) where rooms were in great demand, leaving little options. Chaparal Motor Inn was a surprise once we entered our room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating whenever we needed something. Great location, near I-70 and grocery store. Quiet area! Congratulations to this family for going above and beyond in providing a comfortable and inexpensive place to rest. We will definitely be back!

Needed better lighting, bathroom needs updating, however very clean!

We stopped over heading to steamboat last minute. Very small hotel but clean and the hospitality from the owners is unmatched. They should be competing against the big boys who charge ridiculous amounts of money. They did have free breakfast. I am a crazy healthy eater but I did like the fruit. I cook my meals from home so that is not a reflection of what they provide. My husband gobbled down the waffle with a banana. They do have a fridge and microwave. When I checked in they offered me water. I figured they would charge me. Absolutely free.

There wasn’t anything I did not like

Location was great. Lots of fast food and a supermarket nearby. Good size rooms with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. New beds with clean, fresh linens. Plenty of hot water. Shower bath combo was great 👍. Breakfast had excellent choices. Eggs, sausage, waffle station, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal and toast. Filling and good. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.

A little dated, but you can tell repairs and improvement are ongoing.

Owner and young ladies were all extremely nice. Owner upgraded our room to a king. Shower head will fool you...outstanding water pressure. Comfortable bed. All around nice value for the money. Hot breakfast...not just pastries! Right off the main road..easy access. This is the place to stay!

There was nothing to not like. Will stand up to a major hotel chain any day!!

This is a great little place close to the interstate and walking distance to gas, groceries, and a variety of restaurants, with room to park a larger vehicle (we were towing a small trailer). Seems very secure with the family living on site. We've stayed multiple times and don't think you can find a better value.

The outside is not much to look at, but appearances can be deceiving. While the rooms are super-clean and somewhat updated, there's some updates left to do.

The desk clerk was very friendly and very helpful when we arrived in the evening. The king size bed is very comfortable in the room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The breakfast was delicious waffles, cereals, fruit and yogurt and juice, coffee, oatmeal, donuts and more. The room had a very nice TV set and coffee. There’s lots of rooms for clothes to hang and be stored in the dresser.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like about this property.

My son and I were on route from Mariyland to Colorado. We needed a place to stay that was just across the canvas Colorado border. We were so will to find this place on booking .com and were so grateful for the 24 hour front desk check in because we arrived a little later than planned. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the TV worked and had a guide, and the hot water in the shower was heavenly. Bonus that there was a Safeway with a Starbucks right across the parking lot.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEED OUR STAY! It is really hard to impress me, I prefer luxury and to pay more for something nice. My husband prefers whatever is the cheapest. We are on a long road trip, roughly 10,000 miles across from the country, we are from VT and I found this place on booking. The price was right so I booked it. Holy moly, this place literally blew away my expectations. I was expecting some backroad beat up inn that no one really would want to stay at. Chaparral Motor Inn is an absolute true gem! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and looks like they just completed some sort of renovation. The room smelled the absolute freshest, like you would expect at a 5 star hotel, and even though there was a farm/field across the road you wouldn’t know it from inside the room. I liked the fact that you could park in front of your room with your vehicle being “right” there. The AC worked perfectly and the room was crisp cold. The bathroom was beautiful, you could tell they put slot of the work the touch sheen light on the mirror. The water in the shower was super hot (which I like) whenever I take a shower I like my temp to be around 110+ degrees, I was happy I could get it to my preferred level of comfort. The shower was beast, like the pressure is so strong it literally massages your back, that was nice after driving 10 hours. There was a huge fridge in the room and the largest TV I have ever seen in a hotel, larger than the one we have at home. The beds were comfy and cozy. I am completely blown away, I love this place and I can’t wait to return. The only negative is that it isn’t closer to where we live!!!!!!!!!!!! If your thinking about staying here, don’t delay, its a beautiful place with friendly and welcoming staff. We didn’t get to try out the breakfast but since there was a McDonald’s across the street we really wanted there coffee and a McGriddle. Lol seriously, stay here, it’s that flippen nice.
