Located in the middle of the mountains, beautiful landscape around. Very good heating. Dinner included, very tasty typical French food. Breakfast is quite basic, but meets the needs (we missed eggs though). Overall, good value for the price paid.

Not very easy to get to if you don't have a car or haven't booked a taxi in advance (in high season, there were no taxis available). There is a navette that passes by the hotel at specific times, but we only found out when we arrived at the hotel (it wouldn't have made any difference to our arrival, as we arrived after the last navette time).

The staff made me feel extremely welcomed. When I first arrived, I forgot my phone in the taxi and had a mini panic attack, but the front desk guy called every taxi company until we tracked it down. The optional dinner everyday was awesome, it felt like eating at somebody's house!

I wish there was an easier way to get to town. Because of a snowstorm the day I arrived, the walking path to town was too wet and muddy so I had to walk along the highway.

Friendly staff, i really liked the location next to the woods, there are female-only-bedrooms (and it’s really female only), lots of fresh fruits for breakfast, everyone was really nice Of course it is not super fancy but that’s not what an auberge is about… very good value for money - I felt very comfortable there & decided to stay one night more then planned

I was a bit sceptical before going, but my stay at Hi Seez was great! The staff is extremely friendly and helped me out a lot. They really go the extra mile, which is very much appreciated. From the hostel there is a bus going to Ecudets (la Rosiere) and Bourg St Maurice (Les Arcs) going in the morning and coming back in the afternoon. However, I would recommend coming with a car, which gives much more flexibility. From Seez, la Rosiere/San Bernardo via Ecudets (5 min drive), Les Arcs via Bourg St Maurice (15 min), Tigne/Val d'Isere (30 min) and la Plagne (30 min) are easily accesible, which gives many options for skiing/snowboarding. In the hostel the rooms are comfortable, the dinner is very decent and inexpensive and there is a cozy communal area with a wood fire and pool table. I had a great stay and will likely come back.

The bathrooms could sometimes be a bit smelly. It would be great if there would be a heated drying room for clothes, as there is not much space in the rooms.

Excellent location, staff was very friendly, always willing to help. Food was very nice, better than expected i must say. All in all fair price.

Friendly, uncomplicated, very clean place to stay. Located off the beaten track, in a valley - summer heat is not a problem at nights. + Simple but very good sweet breakfast

Can be noisy if you sleep in dorms located below the canteen. You hear after-dinner cleaning until late, and in the morning, kitchen wakes you up when preparing breakfast.

The place is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were okay, nothing exceptional but good enough. The service was very good, with friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Beautiful, quiet location by the river. Have the option of walking on the trail or road to get there, both routes go through the woods. Big, spacious and welcoming. I was meant to sleep in a dorm, but they kindly gave me my own room with shower, which was super great. I could have my privacy as i was female solo traveller, and relax in my own space. The food was awesome! Exactly what I needed after a 50km journey on foot from Courmayeur to Seez. Starter was a big salad, main was spaghetti bolognese and dessert was warm brownie with ice cream!! All the calories and carbs! Topped off with a cold beer. Lovely friendly staff. Facilities clean and worked well. About a 1.5-2km walk to Seez town.

As it was warm we all sat outside for dinner, problem is the ants crawling on the table and sometimes on the plate or drinks, but that can't be controlled. Wasn't a huge big deal. The bed frame was very squeaky every time you moved around the bed. Breakfast is at 7am and I asked for earlier time to eat so I could set off early, but the breakfast was still packed away, only cereal but there was no milk. So I left later than planned and had to wait for everthing to be brought to the buffet. Again not a huge big deal. I definitely recommend this place for families, groups and solo travellers.

After a long hot drive from Dijon, the friendly welcome, delicious dinner and comfortable beds were so welcome. The staff were exceptional; the communal dinner relaxed and the whole atmosphere just great. Will definitely be stopping here again.
