We had to leave early for the next stage of our hike, before breakfast was served (at 08:00). The receptionist therefore offered that we instead could have the breakfast brought up to our room the night before with coffee in a thermos etc. Really nice with that degree of servicemindedness! It really saved our next day to still have food available.

Ventilation in the room is a bit poor without the windows open. The shower cabin is in the room.

The hotel is in a great location, very quiet and easily accessible. It also has good parking facilities. The people are lovely with a very warm welcome, very helpful and a pleasure to talk too. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and great quality. Evening meal was extremely good with fantastic food beautifully presented and fantastic service. I have not hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Convenient hotel on the edge of the quaint village of Vieille Brioude run by a young couple who deserve to succeed. Dinner was excellent focussing on local produce and we were given good advice as to which local wines to pair with our food. Our dog was allowed to sit with us in the restaurant, which we appreciated. Lovely countryside and interesting places to visit nearby. Hotel has its own car park.

Rooms aren’t huge but perfectly comfortable for a short stay.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant, if a little expensive, but service has a personal touch, which is quite special. Good breakfast.

Shower cubicle is located in the bedroom. Works for single occupant, but maybe not for sharing!!!

We liked the friendliness and attention of the staff. The hotel was very clean and the furnishings were excellent. We also appreciated having free parking and a lift.

It was a bit disconcerting having a bath in our room but we got used to it. The menu was very small but once we tried the food it was very good.

Best thing that could have happened. Car broke down in a village nearby and found this place to stay. Blessing in disguise! Amazing people running this place, tremendously hard working and they make sure you enjoy everything about your stay. The rooms are well done and definitely eat and drink here. Amazing food and awesome homemade ingredients for both the food and cocktails. Definitely also try their selection of local wines. I wouldn’t have thought of staying at this location before to be very honest, but after our stay. We will be coming back

great reception by young owner. Room is bright and cheery, but small. Bathroom spacious and modern. However, it is the restaurant that gives this hotel panache. Fresh local food prepared simply but tasteful. Beautiful dining room and setting. Recommend a stop for you who are « foodies@ like me!

Beds comfortable but narrow. Not enough shelf space to unpack even for us bicyclists carrying a minimum. Not enough light for nighttime readers.
