My stay here in early October 2005 was unplanned. I had already stayed two nights on Favignana and was due to head back to Sicily but upon arrival at the port, I discovered all ferry crossings were cancelled due to high winds. I had to find somewhere for the night and chose Aegusa. I wasn’t disappointed. I booked the room about 9:00am and explained my situation, asking if a room could be ready earlier but not expecting it to be so before lunch. My room, which was across the street and was absolutely beautiful, was ready by 10:30 and I couldn’t believe how lovely it was for the price. Lovely bathroom and great shower, tons of storage space, a desk - most useful as I had some work emails to attend to - and a big, comfy four poster bed. Reception staff were delightful and helpful, and from this base I had a lovely evening in Favignana town. I would highly recommend.

I stayed at Hotel Aegusa for one night and overall had a pleasant experience. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were courteous and helpful. My room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable for a short stay. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast. The food was fresh and the dining area was tidy and welcoming.

It is really conveniently located. The staff were exceptionally kind and considerate, especially when I got food poisoning, not from them, as their restaurant was excellent and the breakfast also. Dario, who looked after the breakfast, was very efficient. The staff all went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant and as interesting as possible, especially Valentina, Alin and the head of housekeeping, whose name I didn’t know. The island and its beautiful pristine waters are a paradise.

The fact that the restaurant closed too early in the season, as it was the best restaurant on the island that I had been to.

Excellent location, split between 2 buildings. Simple design, clean room. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed, strong enough a/c and shower with decent amount of hot water. Upstairs room appeared to be better than those downstairs.

Decent breakfast, other than the single/slow coffee machine for all guests leading to long wait for coffee. (Particularly as no hot beverage facilities in room, which seems to be a standard for this type of hotel in Italy.) Provided with 8 "intimate washes" in room, but no shampoo - corrected on request.

Staff was very helpful. Location was great and and easy walk from the ferry. Located right near the center of town and within the shopping district.

The room we stayed in was on the ground floor and was somewhat damp feeling. The ac helped.

Lovely building and room in an amazing location. Clean and modern bathroom. Good breakfast and helpful reception who gave us tips on beaches and where to rent bikes at a good price.

Great location - in pedestrianised old town, beach and restaurants all very close. No need for a car. Comfortable rooms Excellent staff - really helpful when we needed to change travel plans.

Breakfast was variable - not a lot left if you went after 9 and I only saw an egg once! Hairdryers in the room weren’t very good
