The 3-day visit started with us being given a room that did not have all the amenities as promised. Following a discussion, they upgraded us to a junior suite on the following day, which was very nice. The view (now we had a balcony), was breath-taking, the decor was very good, and the room was very spacious. We also ate at their restaurant on all 3 evenings. Excellent food and service. The staff were quite friendly and helpful.

Besides the mild disappointment of the first night (already mentioned above and which they remedied), there isn't much to say. I could mention that from check-in they were aware that it was going to be my birthday in that weekend. I think they missed an opportunity in not doing something about it. and giving me a wow experience. From a location perspective, we had lovely views of the mountains and the sea, but expect to be quite cut off. You definitely need a car to stay there. There is very little happening in the village/town, and the beach is 15 mins away by car (down the mountain).

The food, both dinner and breakfast, exceeded our expectations. The view from our room was gorgeous. The nights that we were there, no weddings took place. I can see that it would be an amazing setting for a wedding and reception, but I wouldn't want to book a room while a celebration was taking place. The receptionist spoke great English and was very helpful. Small grocery store within walking distance. Quick drive to the beach.

It would be nice to have small coffee pot in the room for in the morning before you go down to breakfast.

This was the off season in February and unfortunately the restaurant was completely closed apart from breakfast however the location and staff promised better for the late spring.

The hotel is extremely beautiful and the staff were very helpful. My family speaks very little Italian and they went out of their way to help us fully understand. As well as finding us a driver to take us all the way to Taormina, for a very reasonable price, after our stay. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were excellent. The view is incredible, especially from our balconies.

The quad room was very small, very little walking space between the beds and nowhere to open a suitcase.

Wonderful view over the bay and the islands. Very ornate dining room and very nice breakfast. Nice pool and garden area. Thankful for the elevator.
