🌴 A Perfect Stay at Canareef Resort Maldives 🌴 We originally booked 2 nights at Canareef Resort but ended up extending our stay by another 3 nights — that’s how much we enjoyed it. Honestly, I could easily spend 15 nights here and never get bored. The resort offers so much more than just beautiful beaches. There are vibrant coral reefs with colorful fish, tennis courts, a gym, pools by the bars, a great selection of excursions, a relaxing wellness & spa center, and an above-standard variety of food at breakfast and dinner. We stayed in a Premium Villa with Jacuzzi, which was both luxurious and very comfortable. The service was simply outstanding — our villa was always spotless, and the water, coffee, and tea were constantly replenished. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed — with a fresh coconut drink in hand and a personal welcome message in our room written with natural materials. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always smiling. They really go above and beyond to make your stay special. A special thank you goes to Millie from Kenya, the best receptionist ever — warm, cheerful, full of positive energy, and always ready to help. She truly made our experience unforgettable. Canareef is a hidden gem — peaceful, spacious, and full of tropical charm. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a more authentic and relaxed Maldives experience. 💛 Jozef & Michaela

Basically the resort has it all, thanks to its geographical location. Each guest is hosted in our own bungalows, all facing the sea. You can't get it wrong - almost.

The transfer arrangement was a major pain in the neck. No confirmation until 4 days before the trip, and keep getting ping ponged was no fun and stressful. On the day of my departure, I accidentally locked myself out of the room. Luckily I had installed a local number so I was able to call reception to help. But they came a full hour later, while everytime I checked in at 10.minutes interval (it's effin humid and hot, and I was already dressed for my flight) they said help.is on the way. Speed is something you'll miss in this establishment.

The island was beautiful! The service was exceptional, the staff is amazing, and absolutely loved the beach! Our villa was comfortable and loved that we could hear the sound of the ocean even inside. Would highly recommend it to anyone, 10/10. Big shoutout to the bar team, especially Erilla, Akhil, Indri and Ariante! Lovely people who were always looking out for us and made our holiday so much better.

After reading some of the reviews, we were a bit worried, but for no reason. We had a wonderful stay and the resort is value for money (about 1800 Euros, Sunrise villa for teo, 9 nights, all inclusive). Villas are lovely, spacious and comfortable (we were upgraded for free to a Sunset villa because the sunrise side was flooded - thank you, we loved going for an afternoon dip in the sea directly from the room!). Staff was amazing, so hospitable and friendly). Special thanks to Mohamed Shiruhaan, our waiter at the restaurant, Mausoom from housekeeping, Dama and Deepthi at Dhoni as well as the amazing staff at the reception who assisted us with the internet for a professional meeting when the wifi was down. Hotel grounds are beautiful and allow one to feel immersed in nature while walking or cycling (free bicycle throughout stay). To move around, one can also call for one of the electric buggies that arrive very quickly (or hail one down from the ones driving up and down). The resort island is narrow, but quite long. It is connected to the local Island via a bridge, you can cycle there with the bike after signing a liability form at reception) if you want a more authentic experience. Food at buffet restaurant: wide choice, also for vegetarians and vegans. Some variety over the week but there's so much to choose from that you don't get bored and are happy to find same dish the day after again (the Indian corner had delicious curries; the soups were yummy). Choice of alcoholic beverages including around 6 cocktails at the three cafe-bars (wine and beer at restaurant). Without all-inclusive plan, eating/drinking are at N. European prices- cocktails around 9, spaghetti and club sandwich 9, mains 25-35 Us dollar at beach bar), closes 18:00). Saw only one creepy crawly; some cute salamanders and lizards.

Pillows too fluffy and soft. At Dhoni: the crab race - animals are not entertainment; DJ music most nights - very loud club music with bad sound when guests were clearly not interested in dancing. Lack of awareness session regarding treatment of corals and lack of intervention when some guests did not respect corals - soon, there will be none left (maybe put cages around them as other places do for restoration, and inform guests?). Price of diving - initially seems acceptable, but then they charge for each piece of equipment and the boat extra, and if you do two dives in the morning, they charge equipment twice. Wifi was weak or nonexistent some of the days but it seems this was not the hotel's fault.

Beautiful place, nice people, perfect and autentic resort. Good programs. Tha island is connected with a local island where you can see the Maldivian life too.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, even the chef came over to sit and chat to us and to ask us how we found the food. We did 3 boat trips - all amazing in their own way! The amount of food choices were great! I loved the photo opportunities around the resort, such as the ocean swings. The pool was huge and so lovely… even when it rained. Very impressed by the size of the resort and how green and lush it was - beautiful! Cycling around was lovely although quite bumpy with the pot holes. Bed was huge and comfortable and rooms were cleaned multiple times a day! Morning yoga was a delightful way to start the day with complementary tea.

The bikes were very very uncomfortable. The DJ was great fun with great music but very very loud, too loud to talk over to friends, even outside on the Dec. pillow choices would be good as my hubby got a sore neck from the flat pillow. We had a lovely sunset beach side bungalow unfortunately we had a fire hydrant right outside and that kind of spoilt the romantic vibe and view.

This place was amazing. Just like a paradise island. My husband and I have just come back and can't stop talking about it . The location is perfect to relax and have a little R and R . The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for everyone. The beaches are outstanding. Well kept and so clean . We're hoping to be able to go back some day .. made some lovely friends. And the welcome we got on arrival was so lovely and again when we left yesterday..

The only down side I the long distance from the UK .. And it's quite expensive if you only go half board .

The staff were very friendly and professional. Special thanks to Mohamed Shiruhaan who was super helpful and made sure that our honeymoon was very memorable. Great variety of food with every meal. Great system to organise every part of our stay at the resort. Great long beaches for relaxing walks. Amazing weather, even when it rains! Regular buggy rides to get us around the resort whenever needed. Large villa that was cleaned very regularly, with soothing bed and lovely jacuzzi whirlpool. Massage was amazing! Lovely swimming pools and atmosphere around the resort.

Sea, sun, and sand, plenty of it when we were there.

All inclusive drinks are exceptionally poor. Along with no significant snacks, sandwiches are available throughout the day in which all-inclusive should cover this.

The beach was nice and it has a very good snorkeling place
