The location is perfect if you’re hoping to explore downtown. It is right across from the local watering hole (pub and brewery). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived after desk hours and they communicated everything I would need to know before hand and left detailed instructions for me in an envelope. The manager does stay on-site and can assist if needed. The room was clean and cozy, with a great shower. The water was instantly warm and water pressure was strong. Breakfast is your standard US continental breakfast in a bright dining area with a skylight. I loved everything about staying here and I will definitely stay again!

Location was close to my town destinations. The breakfast I thought was meager. I did not see any water or juice, until later when I asked. Cereal and bread doesn't fit all visitors. I liked it clean, cozy and classy, with reasonable cost. Robert and Hannah were very nice.

I had to wrangle the shower curtain every time, as it flew in to me showering. Not pleasant. Maybe get weighted one. The bed sagged so much, I slept on diagonal. And I had to turn the shower nozzle so hard to get it not to drip drip drip at night going to sleep. I addressed these with Hannah and she said she would mention. Lastly, I was not told there was not room refrigerator and microwave as most places have. I would have planned my stay better had known.

The hotel reached out to me right away to confirm my reservation and ask me if I needed or wanted anything special. Not sure I've ever experienced that before! Because there was a bike race in town, the hotel was sold out, and the downtown area (and parking) were challenging, but again, the hotel reached out to communicate what was going on and how best to handle it. Considering the fact that I was completely unfamiliar with the area, I can't tell you how much that helped! The staff is exemplary! My room faced the street, and revelers were a bit noisy, but not super late. I enjoyed the view of the historic district from my window. The room was very clean and well appointed. Now, were there drawbacks? Yes. This hotel was built in 1882, and you're not going to get any extra electric plugs or USB ports, so be prepared. So what if you have to choose between a lamp and AC? You have to expect things like this when you step back in history. I was able to charge my phone with a plug by the sink. The bed was comfy, with plenty of pillows and I slept like a baby. The breakfast had nice choices and the coffee delish. The location of the hotel was right in the downtown district within walking distance of all kinds of stores and some eateries. All in all, I felt safe and seen and really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

This didn't bother me, but the rooms are upstairs and I didn't see an elevator.

The first floor room with its own entrance separate from the hotel was large and beautifully adorned with very comfortable furniture. The lighting was excellent in the living area, the kitchenette, and the large bathroom. There was plenty of storage room in every room. Though the room fronted the main street, noise was no issue.

It so easily could have been rated higher except for some major cleaning concerns: a large clump of hair in the shower and a trash can full of trash in the kitchentte from the previous guests! Strange there was no plastic bag in the bathroom basket.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Palace Hotel and our experience truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and inviting, making us feel right at home. One highlight of our stay was the fascinating tour of the hotel's underground tunnels. The staff provided an engaging and informative history of the hotel, adding a unique and memorable touch to our visit. The tour was a wonderful blend of history, mystery, and adventure, giving us a deeper appreciation for the hotel's rich heritage. The exceptional service we received throughout our stay was unparalleled. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay truly special. I wholeheartedly recommend The Palace Hotel to anyone looking for an extraordinary and memorable hotel experience.

very nice, clean room with shower and toilet. the staff were lovely and helpful, they have kept the 19th century charm of the place.

Because it is an older building, sound proofing was not exceptional. Due to the location at the corner of two main roads, traffic noise was noticeable; the noise from other lodgers was also there. However, that same location meant going for a pint or doing some shopping was a short walk away. Breakfast was limited continental. there was fruit, but nothing prepared, keurig coffee and a selection of yogurt, bagels, cereal, packets of oatmeal, danishes and, popcorn. there was a fridge, with cold drinks, including milk, juice and water.

The suite we booked accommodated the 3 of us very well. The bed was comfortable and it was the best night's sleep we had on our entire trip. The property was very historical and we even talked ghost stories with the owner which was a plus for us. Easy to find and breakfast was provided.

Pull out couch was a bit flat, my dad ended up sleeping on the bed which he did say was comfortable.

I liked that the property was a historic property. Had plenty of charm and set in an old fashion or antique furnishings taking us back to the early 1900’S. It was neat to look at the photos and the furnishings and the front desk clerk was great! Very nice and pleasant and made sure to ask us if we were comfortable. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

It was a little worn down but to be expected due to its age and original fixtures. There was no elevator and the stairs were a little steep but doable.

The location of the hotel was very convenient - right in the center of the historic downtown area. The hotel is historic - which means it is quite old, opened in the 1880s, I believe. If you like staying somewhere with a lot of character and history, then you’ll like it there. Our two-bedroom suite was quite comfortable and very roomy. The staff was great. They went out of their way to buy decaf coffee when I asked if they had any (which they normally do not)..

We never found the breakfast because we stayed in the ground floor room with separate entrance. The location was great, next to a bookstore with a friendly owner and a right in the middle of everything happening in downtown Silver City, which was not a lot in the evening except for karaoke at the brew pub on the next corner.

The room was a bit oddly laid out, probably originally a store or office fronting the street. The bathroom door was hard to close. I suspect the other rooms in the hotel might have felt more like old-time hotel rooms.
