Everything. The landscape is beautifully arranged. The Sumberwatu stupa in the area brought very nice ambience. We can learn traditional Javanese instruments (Gamelan) and traditional archery. The pool is quite wide and clean. They also offer some other activities that might be interesting for kids, such as horse feeding, fish feeding, and bird feeding. If you want to take a tour to Barong temple nearby, they provide bicycle. I think this resort is very nice, and we'll be back here for sure.

It is just the location quite far from main road, and the foods of the restaurants a bit pricey.

I really want a quiet place for resting after a big family event and Abhayagiri - Sumberwatu Heritage Resort gave me exactly that. The hotel location nested comfortably near Prambanan Temple and few other temples, so if you want to do some sightseeing, you can do so, but if not, the hotel provides more than enough. It has ample garden adorned with stupa and breathtaking views from the restaurant. You can also enjoy the views from the pool. The room is spacious and cozy. There's bathtub in the bathroom so you can have full relaxation. Plus, the hotel also provides a lot of activities, from gamelan experience, traditional archery, table tennis, to animal feeding. If you hungry, the restaurant offers you range of locals and international dishes on reasonable prices. Overall, a nice and comfortable place to stay for a while.

The hotel located around 1 hour drive from city center, so if you want to do some town strolling, it's quite far. Also, since it quite secluded, you need to equip yourself with enough snack supplies before you checked in. Otherwise you'll have to do a little bit of travel for groceries and whatnot. One other thing, the resto serves no alcohol.

I must say that this place was absolutely breathtaking! The hotel's location is simply perfect, offering stunning views of Mount Merapi and the Prambanan site. The gardens are exquisitely designed, the pool is enormous and inviting, and the restaurant serves delicious food with impeccable service. We had an unforgettable stay at this property!

While our stay was exceptional, we were a bit disappointed to see the beautiful birds confined to cages. Additionally, we felt the horses could benefit from larger enclosures to allow them more freedom to roam.

The view from the restaurant was nice. We saw the Mt. Merapi and the Prambanan from a distance. The welcome tea set with traditional sweets was nice.

There was no separate showering area but only a bathtub, and showering there caused lot of water spill. Although the hotel provided a sponge for us to clean up the water spill, it was not good enough, as we did expect more at the price we paid. A view from our room was an internal garden court where we saw only opposite rooms and some trees, whereas the view from the corridor (and also from the parking) was the nice view of Mt. Merapi. I wonder why the hotel design was not the other way round. It was such a pity indeed. Breakfast could be better.

The shower is badly designed as everytime we took a shower it flooded the floor and the side of the bathtub. The hotel provided us with additional towels to absorb the water but it would be better if they fix the problem instead

Spectacular view. When you are looking at the 180-degree view including Prambanan temple, the mountain in the background and the total scenery...just breath taking. Night view is also stunning. The grounds beautifully maintained and the Stupa. Wow!

Hot breakfast was cold. Dinner was OK.

We stayed here for the view and it was great. Food at their restaurant is good though a bit pricey. Breakfast was ok. Hotel ambience was pretty good, tranquil with beautiful large yard.

The bathroom in my room was always wet, not sure where the water came from but seems like the arrangement of the shower and bathtub makes water flows to the floor and so it's not properly drained.

The rice-paddy field and Prambanan view is beautiful. Clean and large enough rooms.

A bit difficult to get grab/gojek as it’s on a mountainous area. Interested visitors are advised to hire a rental or driver.

We loved our stay at the Sumberwatu Heritage Resort. The property is so beautiful. There is a temple in the middle, the view is simply spectacular. The food was very good. The room was modern and comfortable with big bathroom.

We didn’t like that they kept horses in very small enclosure in such heat. Also a big cock was kept in a tiny cage.

Great stay and relaxing. The staff very helpful and polite. The breakfast was delicious with local touch. We enjoy local food. The view from Hotel is beautiful with merapi volcano. The landscape of resort have the borobudur landscape and nature touch. There is alot birds and the sound in morning awakenings. We given compliments dinner, thank you so much. The food so delicious especially the desert, thanks to the staff Nurul give us good services.
