The owner and stuff of the Sipanya Guest house were very kind and welcoming. Saying honestly the attitude to guests was the best of our three months traveling expirience. Thank you for transfer from and to bus station. The room was clean, hot water ran well. The location is also very attractive, and funny geckos all around. We loved them very much. We also kindly recomend to book tours from the guesthouse. Our guide Mr. Souk showed us everything, even more what was not in the tour programm. He has very good English, so ask for him if you stay in Sipanya guest house.

CENTREPIECE OF MY ASIAN ADVENTURE Sensational stay in a very historic location. All staff at the guesthouse were attentive and friendly, and willing to assist in many different ways. Mr Souk (driver and tour guide) with whom I spent two days is devoted to his community and country, and is a font of knowledge when it comes to Laos history, and is fun to be with. I have to admit a bias…I have travelled within Asia quite a few times, but my primary goal this time was to fill in gaps of my local knowledge, and to reach and experience the Plain of Jars. The staff at the guesthouse all go out of their way to assist and answer any question you may have.

We enjoyed two nights in this guest house which is the perfect location to visit the three main sites of the Plain of Jars. It is also walking distance to the town should you wish to explore, need an ATM or try some of the local restaurants. The owner, Abay, is extremely helpful and is very good at responding to messages, giving advice and generally making sure his guests get the best out of their stay. They offer a free pick up service for those who require it. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with AC if you need it. The breakfast provided is excellent. The reception area has tea and coffee facilities and you can also but cold drinks and we enjoyed an evening in this area playing cards and talking with other travellers. There is a wide selection of tours that are offered by the guest house and we were so glad to have had Abay with us as his local knowledge and information gave us a real insight and a deeper understanding of this area. WE had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this guest house for a short or long stay.

Very clean hotel with nice view from upstairs room and balcony across the town and to the distance. Pickup waiting at bus terminal after a long and quite difficult journey was wonderful.Tea and coffee and water are always available in reception which is run by extremely friendly, helpful, and caring staff with good English. Close walk to main Street with tourist sights and restaurants. During my stay the weather became really cold with a freezing wind but I was offered a blanket and given a heater. The biggest asset for my stay was the guide attached to the hotel Mr Souk who is a knowledgeable lifetime local of generations, and has exceptional English. We took a tour of the Plain of Jars and Old Capital and his guiding and ability to pass on so much information and experiences of his family really completed our stay. He was patient, and adapted to our interests and because the weather was so cold and I had bought nothing warm to Laos he even went to his house and loaned me his spare puffer jacket letting me keep it for the remainder of my stay. Thank you so much Souk!
The hot water was cool but the water heater is individual so perhaps not the case for other rooms. No refrigerator if that's an issue but it wasn't for me.

Fabulous guesthouse...owner/manager (Abbay) very good at communication (excellent English) and organised a pickup/transfer from bus station to guesthouse at no extra charge. The place is pretty near new...room was enormous, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Easy walk to main area for restaurants/markets. Tours to Plain of Jars (and more) can be organised through guesthouse. Mr Souk is a fantastic guide...also excellent English and very knowledgeable. Tours with him can be organised through guest house (or directly: WhatsApp +8562028548454 or email: [email protected])

A comfortable and clean guesthouse. Was met when I arrived at the minibus station by Mr Souk who works for the guesthouse. Had an excellent day's tour with Mr Souk. We visited Jar Sites 1, 2 and 3 each of which were very different and atmospheric. Also learnt a lot about Laos history and the amount of UXO remaining in Laos from the second indochina war. Mr Souk was very informative and interesting. His English is excellent and he drove the comfortable minivan very carefully and safely. I'd very much recommend doing a tour with him. I wish I had longer to stay at this guesthouse and do a longer 2 day trek with Mr Souk to visit a Hmong village and other Jar Sites. Sadly I needed to travel on but hope to come back one day.

Great stay: clean rooms with beautifully high ceilings (~4m), comfy bed, view from the balcony, pretty sunsets, delicious green tea. Little bonus: we haven’t spotted a single mosquito in the area. Abay is the young owner who started the guesthouse without even having stayed at a hotel previously - and he totally nailed it. His team spoke English fluently and did everything to make us feel at home. We were picked up from the bus station for free. And rented a scooter at a good price. Everything went very smoothly, we ended up staying longer than planned. Thanks for such a pleasant stay.

The room was large, clean and had a decent shower. There was Wifi, air conditioning and a free bottle of water, plus a free pick-up from the airport. For the price of the room per night, those touches were incredible. Also offered free tea & coffee, plus have recommendations for places to eat
The hotel can’t help it but due to the location, there are some noisy neighbours partying into the night. It’s also a little tricky if you’re on your own and don’t have transportation because the roads aren’t very well-lit at night.

We loved our stay at this guesthouse! The family that run it are really nice and were so helpful. The free pick up from the bus station was much appreciated after a very long journey from Luang Prabang and they kept the restaurant open to cook dinner for us too. The room is big and comfortable, as well as clean. The bed is big and comfortable, with soft pillows. We highly recommend staying here, it is excellent value for money and a lovely place to stay to explore this area of Laos!
The shower ran a little cold at times but this is common in Laos so shouldn't put you off staying in this guesthouse.

Food is exeptional, the chef of restaurant jest really good. Even for generally good Asian food.. Staff is SO polite and well trained that was surprising. And super clean hotel with very fresh linen. The overall impression od the room is good - like small details: hangers, table and chair to sit on, shelf for your luggages, night cabinets, great light in the room -everybody who travels in Asia knows IT is not always happening. And very nice touch-free Pick up from the station. We were awaited even though our van was late. And! The last but not the least- English is spoken here. What a comfort . A! All are very helpful, any questions is answered.and so fast. And not only that -we need to print some papers, hotel did it for us. Hotel also Has fluent English guide, so if you need to book a trip-you cannot have better place . Best place to stay.
I really recommend the place .
