The location is great, walking distance to the super market and not far from the beach. Lovely restaurant and lovely staff. Accommodation looks like an island resort, really cosy. Well worth the money and would definitely stay again.

The room was maybe a bit outdated but we had everything we needed apart from milk in addition to our tea and coffee making facilities as there was no fridge in the room. The walls were thin and we were woken up quite early by people who left for the track, otherwise all good.

Out Villa was very clean and the beds were super comfy. The bar had really fresh food and the staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The villa had a well equipped kitchen so if you wanted to save on food you could cook your own meals.

I guess if I had to be picky, the driveway into the property was not clear. It's easy enough to find though and has signs. Karamea is also a small place so you will not miss it. Wish we had stayed a bit longer - that's all really.

The bed was very comfortable, nice bedding. Roomy shower. Everything we needed expect a cook-top, but we were able to pop over to the Back Packers kitchen to cook a meal. Staff were very helpful. The restaurant had amazing food. We really enjoyed our night out at the restaurant, they also had a pool table, TV and the atmosphere was friendly.

Bed was very comfortable. Room, shower etc all very clean. Meals excellent. Staff all very pleasant and helpful Hotel in ex location for heaphy track, whitebaiting etc.

everything was fine for us but it might make it easier for owners over all if the bathroom had an expel air to stop the condensation. We just opened the windows.

Absolutely adequate facilities with very comfortable clean beds - just what we needed after a long 4 days on the Heaphy Track. Very friendly staff who are used to dealing with tired trampers. Sent us up the road for breakfast so we could leave on time - very considerate 'West Coast' hospitality

It’s terrific. A little beatnik, relaxed, fun place to stay. The rooms are a little dated but perfectly fine. For the motel suite rooms : Huge bathroom, seperate toilet, good sized room for two people. There is a third person bed but it could be a little squashy. Only one chair to sit on and three bar stools at a bar area but there are tables and chairs outside. Really good food at the restaurant and the bar is friendly and relaxing. Great hosts. Fresh towels daily.

Just a suggestion: some more towel rails in the bathroom would mean the towels could air out and dry. The heated towel rail is tiny and not working so hard to get them dry. To save washing towels if guests are staying , if they can get dry on a towel rail, it might reduce the numbers needing to be washed each day. Just a thought. No bowl to heat food in microwave but that’s a common problem for travellers.

A lovely spot with trees and views, friendly and welcoming staff and generally very relaxing. My room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. You can walk everywhere in the town. Coffee at Vinnies is good. The four square shop has absolutely everything even lotto and there’s 24 hr fuel too.

The owners are incredibly lovely people Typical New Zealand. Fantastic nature and even more fantastic people. Karamea Nature is breathtaking. Even in the pouring rain. The kitchen in the Last Resort......Just amazing

The cottage was a bit outdated and needed some repairing but that did not really matter. Karamea..... Do not miss out on this !

Surprising in the middle of nowhere is this lovely, tidy oasis of a property. Rooms well presented and clean. Limited items in the room to cook with (even to make a breakfast) but then there is a restaurant right there. Restaurant/Bar excellent place to hang out with pool table. Good menu selection. Possibly a little on the expensive side but Karamea is a long way from anywhere. Great laundry.

If the tag on the door says not to service, then it should be adhered to. Saving the planet etc.

The room was so cute. No, I done mean small, just cute. Two little round windows, forged iron wedges for coat hooks, roughly shaped wooden features etc. Loved it. The restaurant food was great and the staff exceptional. Water pressure in the shower was great too. Will certainly stay there again next time we stop over for the night. Thank you.

The lights were a little dim to read by but that’s all I can think of and it wasn’t a big deal as there was Wi-Fi too.
