This is a beautiful very small hotel, in the best location for central Oaxaca’s sights and amazing food/culture. We stayed in the large suite with terrace overlooking the mountains — big enough to have a party. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive.

The traffic noise on the front-facing rooms (there are only about six rooms in the hotel) started pretty early in the am. The air conditioning fan wouldn’t go to the low, quieter setting. But these are small points and didn’t affect our stay.

The staff was superb. Place was very clean. Bathroom had ventilation. The location was excellent. A couple of blocks to main tourist street and short walk downhill to town center. Convenient walk to most excellent restaurants. Excellent security by very attentive staff. Internet was excellent. A pull-off on road in front of hotel made for convenient place for taxis to wait and to unload and load luggage.

The shower head was either clogged or malfunctioning. No American news channels on TV but ths is faitly standard. Bed hard, which some prefer but an available foam pillow for bed would have been nice. But these were minor issues.

The staff were all terrific. Very friendly and attentive, and extremely helpful for first-time visitors to Oaxaca who speak minimal Spanish. The location was very convenient, a short walk from all the activity of Centro but far enough away to be quiet. With double paned windows and thick walls, room was pretty well soundproofed. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and very clean.

The only complaint is that the air conditioner for our room didn't work consistently. Not clear if there was a problem with the device. When it did work it was fine. We would have liked to open the windows at night when it cooled down but there weren't screens on the windows so mosquitoes got in.

Very friendly staff - the best part about the hotel. We had a huge room on the top floor - the red room with a terrace. It was a comfortable place to stay for a week.

The included breakfast was somewhat sparse, but you could order eggs if you wanted them. The decor in the breakfast area was a little plain. Also, on a couple of nights there was some noise from a bar a few doors down, but the amazing staff at the hotel said they would ask the bar to turn down the bass.

The location is excellent - right in Oaxaca Centro only a 10-min walk away from Zocalo. Walking distance to Jalaltlaco neighborhood as well. The staff are exceptional. I had a couple of early morning tours booked, and the staff was more than willing to make me some coffee as early as 5am even though breakfast didn't start until 8.

The room was great, featuring a big terrace. The location was central, safe and convenient to walk everywhere. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight too.

As it turned out, the location was great. Not too far from the Zocalo and easy access to Jalatlaco and Xochimilco. All the staff were wonderful and helpful.

It would've been nice if there were a pool, just to cool our tired, throbbing feet. More places to sit in our room would have helped.

I had the continental breakfast, really hit the spot, fresh fruit and fresh bread were great.

My stay could have been longer, i really enjoyed the Hotel and would stay again. All all our questions were answered and if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. Things to do and directions to get there. freshest bread, best mescal.

Everything about this property was exceptional! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The location cannot be beat, it is just a short walk from everything you'd want to do and see in Oaxaca. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered to serve it to us on our Terraza.

No complaints - the hotel is wonderful!

Very nice and cozy. The location was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. Staff is super friendly.

It was not clear that the our reservation only included continental breakfast so we had to pay extra for other dishes. Besides that, it is a great hotel. We will come back for sure.
