Excellent stay, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, very clean, quiet location, very helpful staff who can speak reasonable English - nothing is too much trouble. Well priced. Restaurant has delicious fine food (did not expect this in the regions) and drinks with local specialties. Excellent breakfast. Quiet rural small-town area - we enjoyed a lovely stroll after dinner in the late evening sunlight. Steps to rooms though as there are no lifts. Exemplary staff/owners very hospitable. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food and drinks. Parking just outside. Location is close to motorway, just off the A66. This place is now marked on my map for future stays.

The location is quite remote within a little hamlet with no other obvious businesses or facilities locally. The hotel itself is lovely, really pretty from the outside, homely and welcoming on the inside. We were welcomed straightaway and made to feel welcome through out our stay by all who worked there. Breakfast was simple and looked local produce of continental meats, bread, cheese, yoghurts with eggs and cereals also available. The evening meal was exceptional! Totally unexpected from what looked like a very small menu but quite simply one of the best meals - both in presentation and taste!! Would visit again just to eat here again. Highly recommended. Please note the restaurant wasn't open on Tuesday evening while we were there.

Wifi was a bit patchy which is really needed considering there is very little mobile signal in the area.
