We stayed here for just one night, but were amazed by the hospitality, service quality and cleanliness. The three course dinner for two was 800 sek. The portions were huge and the food was mouthwatering. If you're not staying the night, I'd at least advice ordering your dinner here. Believe me, the food is that GOOD here. Think of Elite Hotels Sweden quality, but cheaper. Our night stay included a breakfast, which was excellent. Nothing fancy, just your standard Swedish breakfast, but again the food was perfect. The premises were clean, the homemade buns were warm and yummy. Our room had probably the comfiest bed and mattress that I've ever slept on! No joke, everything here is that good :) Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. We got advised on the must see locations in the region and even got a map as a souvenir 🤭 I cannot recommend Hotell Kallgården enough. Bundled with fabulous food, exceptional customer service, it's a must stay if you're in the region. Keep up the good work, guys :)

There was nothing to dislike.

Really cozy and great hosts, felt like at home. Warm and nice atmosphere, reminding maybe 1920s when the hotel was built. Amazing breakfast in the mornings and a great restaurant at dinner time if you choose to eat at the hotel.

Wifi could have a stronger signal, good for mails and stuff, but maybe if you have video conference calls planned, could be a bit better. Again maybe it was just my room, or maybe it is because we are in the middle fo nowhere in the mountains too.

The authentic decor, comfortable beds and friendly & accomodating staff made this stay sensational. We were there for a wedding and they helped everything run smoothly.

This is a very nice and quiet place to rest your soul, the food was exceptional and the view over the lake and mountains was stunning

I really can't name one ting that I wasn't satisfied with

The hosts were very sincere and kind. Breakfast and dinner were very good and I was very happy because of the poor infrastructure in the sparsely populated rural areas and with very few guests in connection with the particular Covid 19 location, when I almost always got something warm to eat in the evening, which I also found very loving. Offering excellent mountain views and a balcony, this hotel is located on a hillside. Very good WiFi (for my best possible zoom function for my laptop). A very nice and soft bed. WC and shower works very well. The opportunity for me to finally relax for a sauna and wellness. The Swedish television or the television set could even be converted to the German television programs. PS.: Enjoyed the stay very much. Gladly a next time again. Best regards Stefan

We had a wonderful weekend at the Kallhården hotel. The personal was warm and welcoming and the food was also really good, they had vegetarian options. It is a perfect stay now during covid-19, far enough from the crowd but still close enough for those that want to skii and have a quiet vacation. It is a cosy place with amazing views, a real retreat! Very recommended, specially for couples and families.

There are no basic amenities in the room. There is no TV. There is no refrigerator with soft drinks or beer. There is no way to make tea or coffee, as there is no kettle. The heating works at a maximum of 30-40%, good that there is a warm blanket. In the room number 20, which I used, has two windows, and one has a blind, the other is missing. The one in front of the bathroom door is missing. The windows are quite old, which I personally do not like. The bathroom is good, but there is a problem with the slope of the floor. Change the master. The ceiling of the room was made by an incompetent master. I think that the price for a night and what they offer is incompatible. I have been to many hotels in Europe, but on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give no more than 4. If you need a bed and a pillow then this is your hotel but if you want some basic amenities then no. Personally I would not visit this place again. Good luck.
