The property is central to all places we wanted to visit. Central for our friends who were visiting us. Mynt, the multi-cuisine restaurant was excellent...quality of food was really really good. Breakfast buffet was a super spread. Friendly staff in the hotel. Housekeeping to those at front desk to those at security check at entrance to those in the restaurant...all friendly happy people. Loved the decor too.

Only problem waa the constant loud noise from the neighborhood. The loudspeaker would start around 7 am and go on till 7 pm. Some rooms should have noise cancellation settings

The staff was very helpful and guided us to the best possible solution to our needs. The included dinner and breakfast was good and choices were very good. I was looking for a simple continental meal for my dinner, which the spread has in plenty and I was happy to have got my choice of food. On the last day of stay the staff helped us with a changing and shower area for us to freshen up before our journey back.

Nothing worth mentioning. But here are two suggestions. The windows need to be sound proof. They leak horn and traffic noise in some cases. It is better in the back rooms. I am sure the front rooms are suffering. Secondly Kolkata being a super humid and hot place, the showering rooms at the pool side can be equipped with a simple fan for cooling down and preventing profuse sweating after a bath. It would be a great customer comfort factor.

Room, food, swimming pool for child.

Room card was regularly not working in lthe ift and while room entrance. Poor English of swimming pool stuff. Servant brought not clean cup of coffee , while serving food was touching the food with his hands, when I complained to manager, he did the same. Cleanness of food serving must improve to respect private zone of customers. Violated boundaries of private life of others is common thing in India, it must not present at least at hotels especially with foreign guests. it's serious issue must be taken care about. Solving this problem India would welcome much more tourists from around the world.

Neat and clean. Stellar and respectful service staff! True to the Taj name. It is one of my favorite hotels in Kolkata.

The facilities are beginning to show their age and need better upkeep. The walls as we exited the elevator on our floor were not fully painted. The corridor was musty and poorly lit and residents had shoes and kids toys parked outside their rooms. The drain in the sink was partially clogged and there wasn’t much space to hang towels in the bathroom.

Service was nice. This is a 3 star, but they provide exceptional service. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were spacious, and had most facilities for a short stay. They don't keep mini-bar by default, thus one can't complain that they have picked up food from fridge by mistake.

Prices for room service (food & laundry) are a tad high, though buffet prices are fair. Noise in the rooms towards the road can seep through. (Wedding, Cars honking etc.)

The staff at the reception, restaurant and the house keeping team were very friendly and courteous. Always bore a smile which was very positive and radiating lot good vibes.

1. would prefer a temperature-controlled pool. 2. provide privacy (possibly a temporary partition) around the pool as the seminar hall is adjacent to it and would have onlookers turning around to get a glimpse. at least for the female pool users.

VIVANTA hotel is a great place to stay, with professional well trained personnel with great heart and a proactive customer care approach. Rooms are big and super clean and the room stewards are super nice, kitchen and restaurant personnel highly committed to offer you the best experience. Lobby and reception personnel are professional and super kind. The Hotel Manager is superlative. Highly recommended.

Everything... Taj itself is a phenomenal brand in the hospitality sector. This hotel is no exception. The rooms are pretty big, cleanliness os impeccable & the food is lip smacking. Especially, the cheesecake. It was pure joy on the taste buds. Breakfast spread is quite elaborate and tasty. The staff of the hotel is remarkably polite. It's a lovely experience.

Nothing as such except one minor thing. I entered the hotel through the rear entrance. It was evening time and was dark. The lighting in that particular zone was inadequate in my opinion. But, as I've said, it's not a big issue.

Staffs were very helpful and prompt. Can't help but mention few names like Naveed, Moushumi, Shayantoni of reception. Rajan ,the cleaning staff of our room 532 was excellent. Thanks

We were on̈ 5th floor. None of the washrooms had any places to keep/hang clothes while taking showers etc etc
