Location is wonderful, right next to the bus stop, subway, and Art Street. Downtown is an easy walk. There are restaurants next door and a cafe attached. The room was clean and had nice windows. Clothes stand with hangers (only two) hair dryer, sink and bathroom. Daily towels and water. I actually requested to stop this, sunce I had too many towels at one point. Building appears modern and well kept. There us an eating area and a gym on the second floor. Lockers downstairs and a luggage scale. Doors have a safety lock when you are inside. I extended my stay twice.

Sink is separate from the toilet. This was understandable but frustrating because of the lighting. The sink had an overhead lighting that basically turned you into a ghoul -- think flashlight below your face. The shadows made it impossible to put on makeup in low light situations. The shower tap was hard to controle. It was so hard to get the right temperature, many tiny movements with both hands to the right position. One tiny shove either way and the water was scalding or freezing. Spent 10 minutes the first night trying to adjust this.

The bathroom looks like hotel bathroom. Towels and water daily provided too. Bed duvets are huge I loved that. Beds are not squeaky. You can open your window or use AC if you find the remote control which we did not. There is a fan though. Big sun-blocking shades on windows to make the room fully dark. Enough space to open your luggage. Elevator. Shared kitchen with basic utensils provided. There are lockers in the hallway only to store your small luggage on your checkout date.

No lockers in the room. Reception empty most of the time as the lady operating the hostel has a cafe next door so she is there. She does not speak English so you have to use translation apps. We did not find AC remote control in the room. When asked we were not given it and told to open window instead when outside it was super hot and humid.

Loved the heated floors in the shower! That makes such a difference in Korea. The location was incredible and right where I needed to be, so close and easy walks to cultural areas such as Daein Market, Art Street and the nightlife of downtown and Domyeongdong. I was working at Gwangju International Center accross the street. I had my own desk and chair and, sink, bathroom and fridge. The bed was comfortable as well. Great wifi, private for each room, so it felt safer than using open network. Clean, daily towel and water service. I was able to request a sheet change after a few days. Did not use the gym, but it looked well equiped and always empty when I went by. You will need a 2nd pair of shoes though. A kitchen amd dining area was available. In all, I ended up staying about 3 weeks. I kept renewing and renewing on booking.com and they were patient with me. I couldn't bear to leave because the location was so good and I was comfortable and so glad to habe a workspace. Towards the end though, I think I did not give enough notice, maybe causing trouble. I only spoke to one of the people at the desk in person twice. So sorry about that!!!

I did not like that there was no lamp (stand) for the desk or near the bed. You would have to turn off the lights accross the room and walk all the way back to bed in the dark. I brought my own lamp. I would have liked a "do not disturb" sign, since there were days I slept in past noon from all the packing I was doing. Housekeeping tried to get in, not hearing my groan of half sleep... I was grateful for the inner door lock!!!! You can't eat in the rooms. This made sense for cleanliness, but was inconvenient. Towels are small because it is Korea, but they give you new ones everyday. No washing machine (or notice of one) made it awkward staying so long. A lot of washing underwear in the shower.

The room was clean and cosy with the great view for the mountains. Very close to the Subway station, and buses. Walk distance from a lot of attractions.

I had in my room a broken hair dryer, it should be change to new one. It was repaired with tape, and after drying for a long time it smelled burnt. When I arrived to the hotel there was no one on the counter for a long time. The stuff can't speak english.

I always stay here in Gwangju. The beds are comfortable, the location is easy to get to from both the bus terminal and the train station, you can walk to the ACC and the Chungjangno area, and it's good value. The lockers in the lobby are also a plus for dropping off my stuff before checkin or for a few hours after check out while I'm still visiting the city.

Very small complaint/warning for people staying in dorm rooms: there are no curtains around the bunk beds, and there is a motion activated light that turns on when anyone enters the room. Bring a sleep mask!

Clean room with comfortable beds. Within easy reach of train and bus routes, so no problem getting around on public transport. Kitchen was clean, had everything we needed, with enough seating for eight people. It was busy in the morning but not so much in the evening. There is also a well equipped gym in the building.

Rarely anyone on the reception desk to answer any queries, although this is a hostel and not a hotel so i'm not sure if that is part of it. There was usually a sign saying to check the cafe next door (it was accessible directly from the reception area as well as outside from the street). Not a lot of information about the area which would have been useful

It was nice place to stay for two nights. It is close to famous places such as Building 245, Art Street, K-pop Street, Sajik Observatory etc. Staff was helpful, when we had a problem and helped us really fast. The place is quite, we didn't hear any of our neighbours. Also, there's kitchen and lockers, where you could eat and keep your luggage after check-out for some time free.

There's no mosquito net, so we slept with open window. Then, you've got 2 options: being bitten by mosquitoes (where were A LOT at night) or sleeping in stuffiness. We are kinda witness of mosquitoes now😅 There were spray and anti-mosquito lamp, but they didn't work with such aggressive insects... Most of the time there's no person at the registration desk, so it's really hard to ask for help/questions.

Very close to the subway and several convenience stores. A shopping street is also nearby, only a few minutes by foot. The lady from the cafe was super friendly and cleaning staff brought water and fresh towels every day. The room was clean and always kept warm. The bed was really comfortable. There is also a gym which I unfortunately I never got to try.

The bathroom was a bit small, so it was a bit challenging to not get everything soaked while taking a shower.

Great place on a walking distance to the main areas. Wifi worked really well and although small and cold there is a kitchen you can use. Beds were comfortable also.

There was a great gym but we were not allowed to use it, the kitchen was always super cold in November and the staff although super nice didn't speak much english.

We had a triple bed one room for the first night, and that was fantastic! The beds were comfy and the room was spacious. Everything was very well cleaned. The staff was also really kind to be willing to give us more pillows!

Our second night we added a person so we switched to a four bed hostel style room. The cleanliness of the bathroom could have used a little more attention as well as soap and toilet paper. Otherwise the access to the balcony was a great bonus!
